All iPads UK iPad Air & iPad mini with Retina Thread

Just picked mine up from Braehead store too. Gave it the once over in store and the iPad is completely unmarked. Checked light and dark screens and lighting is uniform with no obvious backlight bleed.
Very happy so far - that screen is excellent.

Excellent news I'm about to head over to Watford to pick mine up! Honest first impressions how's the screen and colours? Any tinitng issues?

I returned my air yesterday due to the yellow left side tint so don't want it in the mini!
 
Picked my 32GB wifi up from the Chaplefield store as soon as they opened this morning. There wasn't a queue of Apple enthusiasts scratching at the door, so I'm sure they will still have some available.

Mine has a tiny scratch on the back casing that I really should try and get over, but other than that it's fantastic. So glad I waited for the mini. Slightly annoyed at myself for panicking and ordering one online as soon as they became available... Time to organise a return for when that arrives, methinks.
 
Stupid IOS7 (or user). Was in the Appp store and noticed a yellow blemish in the bottom left corner. Gutted. Looked at other apps with a white background and it looked flawless. Back in app store and I could see the yellow blemish again. Then I scrolled the screen and noticed it was a yellow icon behind the bottom menu bar! 😱
 
For those of you who picked up your rMini in-store, is the return period still at 14 days, or has the Xmas return period kicked in?
 
i ordered an ipad mini retina 32gb + 3g at 09:00 yesterday online with a delivery of 26th nov ~ 03 december and cancelled it today after walking out of my local applestore with the same ipad under my arm. 😉

im still amazed that my local store was able to deliver before apple online..

get out there people.. they are in the wild!
 
Does anyone know if the Birmingham store has both the Air and the Retina Mini on display? I think I'm going to need to see both before deciding which one to get.
 
Picked up my Space Grey 32GB retina mini wifi + cell from the Belfast Store Victoria Square this morning - (thanks to the reservation link posted earlier). Its purdy!
 
If it's any use for anybody then John Lewis are now selling rMinis on their website but no supply yet of the cellular, and seem to be offering 3 year guarantees included in the price on quite a few models, isme with quidco cashback ony have the 16gb wifi and pcworld have cashback but again no cellular models.

Ordered one online yesterday when they first went online but cancelled it when they started doing instore pickup but have yet to find any 64gb cellular...

Still it's probably going to teach me to patient and pick up either the Tesco 30 quid cashback and clubcard points or the pcworld 50 quid cashback. (will still have to see whether my patience will actually resist a store pick up if my endless 6am 9am 12pm 3pm refreshing of stock availability finally discovers a silver 64gb cellular....)

I haven't noticed any thing out of the ordinary.

Haven't noticed any dead pixels and the colours seem good!

I'm pretty sure JL are selling the old non-retina minis
 
John Lewis have listed iPad mini retinas but not cellular yet and they are offering 3 years warranty instead of normal 2 they do.
