64 gb lte ipad mini still processing ordered 1400hrs 12th ..... i just hope when it does get here its in good condition and without all the screen issues.

Can people keep us updated with changes from processing on orders for cellular orders in the uk

Ordered my retina 32GB LTE mini at 08:09 on the 12th Nov, and it's still stuck in Processing Items. So I'm kind of disgruntled that someone who ordered an LTE model with engraving a DAY after me has theirs almost dispatched!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I wouldn't mind if it just changed to "Processed waiting to ship" but this whole 8 days of "processing the order" makes me feel like it could take much longer.

I agree normally apple is under promises on delivery times. What I would say us online store still quoting 5-10 days. If they couldn't meet those initial orders surely someone ordering right now would get a longer lead time?

This makes me feel slightly better that my 32gb cellular model is still processing too! I've had the case for almost a week now, but nothing to put in it…

Exactly the same situation. 32GB Cellular rMini. I have the 10GB/mo sim card and case waiting on my bookshelf.

It's probably not even been made yet.

Mine was also the 32GB LTE. Is that maybe the model that has the most issues supply wise?

Sounds good! Is their return period still applicable if you've opened and used the device?

Thanks

When I spoke to the customer services at John Lewis regarding price matching I asked about the 90 days return period. He said just make sure you do not register it with Apple. This appears to be about the last step in the setup process so will be careful when I get to that. Picked my 128Gb Mini up an hour or so ago and just put it on charge at the moment. Will set it up later tonight.

Will give it a really good test out during the next few months and will only keep it if I am happy that all is ok. Bit wary of the first batch of a new product. Bought an iPhone 5 on the day they were released and ended up getting my money back due to a few problems. Went and bought another iPhone 5 a few months later and it has been trouble free.

Nice to have a 3 year warranty for free with John Lewsi. Have never taken out and warranty or AppleCare before so have been lucky that I have never needed it. Couple of iMac issues out of warranty but Apple sorted them all for free.

Reckon my Apple order would still be processing, despite being ordered on the 12th.

Please remind me - as I've posted above, green line down the centre of my rMini screen. It was bought online, will they do an exchange in the Apple store? Assuming they even had stock of course.

Yes they will. If it's an exchange you'll have to wait until they have them in stock. If it's a replacement (under warranty) they'll swap it over with a refurb which aren't for sale, so may have them in stock.

Cancelled my online order as managed to pick one up from the Apple store at Regents Street via the reservation system.

It seems that 3pm is the best time to check!

My online order was made in the first hour of release but had been 'processing' ever since. Sod's law states all of them will be out for delivery tomorrow!! :) but I'm happy to finally have one in my hands.

Thanks! I might give it a go tomorrow. It's a replacement presumably.

Other than the very obvious flaw, I'm totally sold on the rMini. The difference in weight over the first mini is more noticeable than I thought it would be, but not enough to be a problem.

I'm yet to hold one. There's not a rMini on display in a 30 mile radius of York, Uk.

The weight is no concern. Rather than heavier per se, it feels more...solid and substantial really. Which kinda chimes with what I'd read in reviews.

All variants of WIFI in White appeared in stock at Liverpool at around 3:30

Reserved me a 128GB and picked it up an hour ago!!....so far so good (I contemplated an Air but still think the mini is a better size!)

Quite a few places got the whole range of WiFi models in stock today. I also saw a couple of 64GB LTEs.

My 64GB Space Grey rMini has moved to "Preparing for despatch". Ordered at 08:02 on first day of availability.

I can't remember when I ordered it, but it must have been around that time when I ordered too. Maybe tomorrow, I'll join you lucky guys.

This soon after the purchase they will probably send you away and tell you to get it replaced by the online sales team. This is what they did with my MacBook Air which I purchased months after they came out (and so they would have refurb stick available) because it was so soon after the purchase (about five days after I received it). By doing a swap in store like this you will very likely get a refurb model not a new one, however given it is so soon after the release, and so I do not expect refurb models to be available yet, they would almost certainly have to give you a new one. Given the supply constraints I doubt they will be able to do this (they still cannot sell them over the counter without a reservation code, staff have told me that their POS devices will not permit the release of stock).

Went and saw the retina mini today at the bullring Birmingham Apple store.

I walked past it twice before realising it was the rMini since it's on display right next to the mini1. Held them both, and side by side.

Screen is much nicer on the rMini. I couldn't really make out a size or weight difference.
