I wish they'd hurry up and make their mind up - my Amazon order is due to be delivered on Saturday and my Apple order Friday

Im not going to open the Apple order when it gets delivered on Friday until Amazon have cancelled the order for the 24th....Ill be annoyed if im sat looking at my delivered unopened Apple phone all day Friday to then get an email at 10pm Friday night saying the Amazon order is cancelled! 😂

It really makes no difference if you open it and even use it. Apple operate a no quibble 14 day return policy.

To all those people who are worried about their amazon order, why don't you talk to Amazon live chat? Just asked them what the ETA is, if they say its 100% coming then hold that against them if they cancel. Don't make it obvious that you got it at a cheaper price but just be subtle about it

Maybe it was a marketing PR Stunt to get people to buy release days units of Amazon...who knows...roll on 3 more sleeps!

I will be chuffed if they honour it, I managed to get a 256gb Pro for £849.

But have a 128gb Pro waiting for me at the Apple Store if not.

I'd be more inclined to think it was a PR stunt if it had been limited only to the 128GB models. I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised since I managed to order one before they were pulled!

I was pre-approved for a 256GB iPhone 12 last week, but when I put my order in I changed it to a 128GB. I'm guessing my loan from Barclays will be amended once shipped by Apple?

I probably wouldn't want to do this, because it draws more attention and raises questions - which could jeopardise them actually fulfilling?

My Amazon account still has my 128GB 12 Pro as being due for delivery on Saturday.

They still haven't put the 12 Pros back on sale on the site at the correct price, which I find strange.

If they were going to cancel, surely they'd send us cancellation messages and relist the phones at the correct price.

Or, I wonder whether Apple are angry at this cock-up and are withholding stock?!

If I’m trading in what do Apple need back? I have my box and probably charger too, but will have use the lightning cable because those things are not durable

if I don’t need any of that I can just throw out the box in the recycling

They only need the phone, so you're free to keep everything else - useful if you need a charger!

Yeah it was! Wife has had it so been isolating for the 14 days - then developed mild possible symptoms on the last day which was frustrating! But test is negative. Must be immune to it somehow - no complaints from me!

I always buy straight from Apple (even if there’s a delay), I don’t trust these third parties as there is no guarantee when and how much stock they will receive. They just like to over-promise in order to get you to place an order and then later say there are delays and etc. With Apple, you get a guaranteed delivery estimate and most of the time, receive the phone before the upper bound of the estimate. I once ordered an iPhone 7 Jet Black from Vodafone, got it 1.5 months late. I ordered an iPhone X from Apple, got an estimate of 2-3 weeks but ended up getting it 1 week early! Peace of mind and no disappointments is why I always order direct from Apple. No need to constant email or phone customer service agents to figure out if my delivery is even coming and etc, it’s too much stress!
