Honestly, they really are not needed anymore, ive never used one since the 7+ and never had a single scratch on my screen, ive said this time and time again. The glass nowadays is super durable.

unless you literally get a knife and dig it into the screen you're not going to see anything at all. The phones always been in my pockets with keys, dropped every now and again and so on, all ive ever used is an apple leather case
I hear you but it defo needed in my household when your child picks up the phone every now and then.
All gadgets are covered via Bank Insurance but restricted to 2 claims per year per device.
 
Argos dispatched successfully. Due for delivery tomorrow and now have Yodel tracking too.

Great news :D, told you you do get a tracking number. Not sure why the person you spoke to say you didnt.

How did you get your tracking number? Was it via speaking to Argos or did you get a text? Also when you put your tracking number into Yodel, what does it say?

I haven't receive anything from currys with the exception of the first purchase email... quite baffled with the lack of information.

I managed to get an order in with AO last night (after being let down by Currys) and it's actually set for delivery tomorrow morning, it says in the tracking 'The courier has your order'. So I might be happy tomorrow after all :)

Just live chat! "Your parcel will be with us soon" is the Yodel status, though the Argos agent said that was normal and that Yodel would be picking it up later tonight.

I spoke with them on the virtual assistant this morning. Waste of time don’t even get the concept of a pre-order. They just said it’s out of stock and will be dispatched once in stock again.
 
I know you're all looking at tracking numbers but I'm still trying to work out if I go to EE or not?

My O2 sim gets no signal here at work. The EE PAYG sim I brought on Monday gets no signal at work but EE does seem to have a better signal at home and elsewhere that I've tested it.

Current status of both O2 & EE on my XS Max as sat on my desk at work are below.

Is it therefore worth going to EE or should I just stick with O2. Assuming cost is the same (it's not but there's not enough of a difference to worry about).

Also, do EE give a 'lesser' service to those on PAYG and I could potentially expect to see better if I sign up for a 24 month SIMO or does it not make a difference?

Any thoughts anyone please?

Your phone will have micro scratches on it, I guarantee it.
case and screen protector for me as

1) I have kids who drop stuff, drop stuff on it, find ways of causing untold damage to my stuff
2) maximise resale value.. for the likes of MM and others, I want to avoid the debate of them lowering prices due to condition etc

Their live chat is pretty useless. Tried this morning and got told my item is a pre-order so they'll have an update on delivery when it's in stock. They did suggest I could contact their 'online team' which I'd have to do over the phone....
