Yes you could settle the loan yourself and then Apple will offer you £500 trade in when you visit the store which will reduce your new loan considerably. Alternatively they can also offer to trade your phone on the day and give you the funds into your bank for you to settle your old account with. This method relies on Barclay’s approving you for a second IUP loan as the first will not be cancelled until after Apple transfer the money to you.

If you settle beforehand then you can also request a refund for the remainder of your AppleCare+ as the full 2 years was included in your original IUP finance agreement.

Thanks - yes settling my IUP loan with my phone is what I’ve done in previous years, but with no credit offered... they just take it back ... but there’s nearly £90 difference, even without the AppleCare refund this year. I dare say I could have got more with other trade ins if I’d been more savvy and quicker off the mark.

When I upgraded with EE for my unlimited everything and beats and swappable for £25 a fortnight ago I thought it was amazing! You lot have me determined to fight harder the next time I’m upgrading!! Good job all 👏

Sweet! A lot of it is luck and who you speak to on the day. I got the 20% applied on a Friday and on Sunday morning someone on here mentioned the loyalty discount so I went back on chat and managed to get a further £5 off applied to the contract. I have mentioned it a few times on here, prior to the iPhone 12 being announced ee were also giving out Beats X earphones as part of their plans. As soon as the iPhone 12s were revealed they pulled the deal. I asked on chat for them to throw them in and they agreed. Not many have been so lucky since then.

I did take a screenshot of the offer below but in the end, it wasn't needed. Like others have said ee are getting hammered with people calling up to upgrade so it's a seller's market for them. The next best deals will likely be Black Friday.

Similar story here. Managed to get 20% discount to work on the unlimited plan in my upgrades section of the app then called a couple days later when I saw my loyalty discount (previously £15!) had disappeared. Kicked up a fuss and they added £5 back on so got to £17.40 for the unlimited data plan.

I’m looking for a new contract after leaving Three, currently on a monthly Voxi plan, I’d be delighted with 100gb for £16 p/m from EE.

Anyone looking to move to Three, there’s a deal on Topcashback looks pretty good. £18/month for unlimited data (5G, Hotspot etc) but with £60 cashabck spread over the 12 months effectively makes it £13/month

why am I offered 9.99 a month?

I am not very sure of it. I did it yesterday tho. Is it something like introductory offer on launch day? If it is, it seems unfair to those receiving with delayed delivery. Should not be that case too as Pro Max & mini is still yet to launch.

Have a read of this:

Haha the page it links to to extend it is 'page not found'

Try checking mine expired on my xs
Max and I didn’t get offered but was able to sign up for it I think you have sixty two days after it expires.

I can't see any way to extend it.

How’s everyone finding the battery so far? Mines so far with heavy usage today the same as my 11 pro so far
Pretty good. It had its first charge overnight and I’m currently at 40% with a total screen time of 6:50 plus an hour of podcasts in the background to my AirPods Pro this morning for a walk into town.
So as far as I can tell at the moment the battery life is awesome and it’s not even had a few days to settle in yet.
