was your stores forced to shut
Apple Stores? I wasn’t allowed to travel to it. The Cardiff one did close at 6pm on launch day and has remained closed ever since along with every other non essential shop.

So I went to the Apple store to return my MagSafe charger. The one meter cable is not long enough. Also I don’t know how well it’s going to work with a third party case on my 12 Pro Max. For now I’ll stick to the slower Qi wireless charging and wired charging.

Also I got a chance to look at the 12 Pros to judge their size as well as get a real look at the four colours. I’ve definitely decided to get a Pro Max. I had decided to get the silver one after going back and forth between that and the Pacific Blue. How ever having seen the Pacific Blue in person I am not sure again and I’m now leaning towards the Pacific Blue. After having silver the past few years I think it might be time for a change.

Anyone on EE with an esim, who has just upgraded to an iPhone 12. Could you please run through process of how e sim was set up on the new iPhone?

At least people were given a chance to pick up orders right before the circuit-breaker kicked in. We won't have that chance with the 12 mini or the 12 Pro Max. (esp on IUP)

Well people who live in Cardiff got that small window yes. I avoid Apple stores in normal times let’s alone now and would much rather have my iPhone arrive by courier anyway.

I was planning on picking up my 12 Pro Max and having a screen protector put on at the a kiosk in the shopping centre at the same time but I guess that is not going to be possible now. Might have to just have the phone delivered and then wait to use it until I’m able to go back and have the screen protector put on a couple of weeks later. I will probably have to delay selling my 11 Pro Max as a result.

Wonder if Apple will get any Leather folio cases with the 12's/pro/min/Max and if they do, will they have the useful magnets in them that shuts off the screen when you close the case .

Hi all.
Will be ordering iPhone 12 mini next week still undecided on colour, hoping to pop into EE store before lockdown to see phones in the flesh then decide.

Sold my iPhone 11pro 64GB to a friend for £520 which I’m happy with.
Currently using a iPhone 6 till new phone arrives.

Bought new case already and ordered 20w charger.

Thanks. Does that auto remove the e sim from your old phone? (Or does that happen when you erase old phone)

So if you have to go into the store to get the phone via the upgrade program and the shops will be shut, how can they just sell it online and have these people miss out on the chance to get theirs?

I reckon they might pull it till 2nd December.

You have to do a sim swap on the website.

You must order a eSIM swap to a new device so the sim isn’t activated on despatch.

Choose option 3

Once it arrives you can then use MyEE app or EE website to activate the new SIM when the new device arrives.

Taking it if you have a Pro that you want to return within the 14 days policy this will be extended until Dec now

Very good point yeah. Wonder what they did for returns in March / April for other items?

Needs to be the same as then.

Why don’t you order a pack of ESR tempered glass screen protectors from Amazon and have a go at fitting one yourself? They are cheap and very easy to use. Pack of 3 for £8.99.

They will just have to wait til December and sadly it's tough luck ... Everybody else will just get theirs on 13th November

I really can’t see Apple delaying the entire launch of the Pro Mini and Pro Max because of the IUP. At best they’ll reserve stock for those customers.

If these ESR protectors are the same as the smaller 6.1 version (and they look like it), they are really easy to fit and great quality.
I would definitely recommend giving it a go @Mr.C

Can you notice any shadowing through the front camera with the protector covering the notch?

Just ordered from Amazon 22.37 and should be here tomorrow. Looks like they are in local warehouse.

I believe this depends on where you bought it. If you bought it from a physical Apple store they will extend the return period until the stores open again. If, on the other hand, you bought it from Apple online, you are expected to arrange an online return (which is very easy) within the normal period.
