Nice, I have been waiting for over three months since I ordered my Merc. I don’t even have a build date yet
Yeah that's a wait! Everything is taking twice as long or longer. My mate is also waiting on his Merc build date.

BMW have started click and collect when the car is fully ready & prepped. I only dealt with one senior director. They're respecting the rules but admitted themselves turnaround times are so much slower right now from start to finish, even for slick German efficiency!

Gone off track, back to ze iPhone!

Anyone know if EE will let you preorder the 12 Pro Max online but pickup at store instead of home delivery?

I live alone so won't be home and don't trust DPD as they always go to the wrong house

Below is from my local Stratstone Mercedes Benz dealership via email

''While our physical showrooms in England will temporarily close to the public on 5 November, we will remain open for Click and Collect, “we come to you” Home Delivery, Sell Your Car, Vehicle Health Checks, MOTs, maintenance, repairs and more. You can visit us at our Evans Halshaw, Stratstone and Carstore digital showrooms to purchase a vehicle or schedule a service.''

Has amazon sold out of official silcone 12 pro max cases already?
They may have exhausted their stock - ugh I hope they honour my order. I'm getting the otterbox case too so I'll have at least one on delivery day I hope.

I very much doubt that store pick up will be allowed as an iPhone is non-essential. You might be able to get delivery to your work address if that is where you’ll be.

Yes, preorder and select tariff at the same time. O2 went live about 15 mins early for the 12 and 12 Pro so I’d sit refreshing the screen every now and again from 12:30 if I were you.
Expect the Pacific Blue to be the one that sells out first, followed by Gold if it’s anything like their 12 Pro availability. And don’t worry if you hear absolutely nothing from them after the initial confirmation email until the morning of delivery. We had that issue with the previous launch.

Lovely, thank you!

I think this has been stated already in here but I'll clarify:

You are allowed to pick up an item from a store you have paid for online already, this falls under click & collect. It also doesn't matter what kind of retail store they fall under, you just can't go into a store and hand over cash for items in the non-essential stores.

I know this because GAME had to scramble this week to arrange click & collect on my Xbox order which launches next week (my PS5 order is online).

The issue isn't whether the store is allowed to do pick up for pre-paid items, it's whether the store want to and it looks like Apple don't.

EDIT: Just noticed the OP put EE. It depends if EE will put the service on. You're best calling your local store and seeing if they are doing this for the Pro Max and Mini launch.

Took delivery of my ‘Graphite’ iPhone 12 Pro from EE today and I must say what an upgrade it is on my trusty iPhone XS. It’s speedy, decent on the battery and the camera looks very good too. It looks very good indeed so far. Direct transfer also worked like a dream! Nice one, Apple!

It really depends on whether EE opt for click and collect. Hopefully they will put more info out soon.

Enjoy your new shiny!

I always stick to recyclers that have 3 categories

New
Working
Broken

that way they cannot drop price on you
I kind of agree but once I saw that Rebuy would pay a price between categories I though it worth a try. I submitted ‘as new’ and they (somewhat surprisingly) agreed so I ended up with £80 more than Music Magpie (the next best prices). I figured that even if they knocked £50 off it was still worth it. Also, in these Covid times (lockdown in Wales) it was really useful that they came to the house to collect and package 🙂

Quick question .. is anyone seeing the 12Pro for sale online anywhere that can deliver before mid November? Getting desperate here as I’m stuck with hubby’s old and smashed up iPhone 6S!
I’ve checked everywhere I can think of but wondered if I’m missing anywhere! .. John Lewis had a note up yesterday saying they were getting them in stock on the 13th so will try that if nothing else.

My husband ordered the iPhone 12 Pro via the IUP. It first said it was delivering by November 21st. Now it moved to by January 4th.
I was waiting to get the pro max through IUP but it doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen. I’m disappointed that Apple can’t change the program similar to the US where you can do it online...

Interesting point about click and collect. I was by a store today and thought I’d pick up a wallet. The man said I’d have to buy it on the app and collect it.

When I went to do it, the app wouldn’t let me do click and collect (he’d confirmed about 10 mins previous they had them in stock)

Had a look and it wouldn’t let you click and collect anything! Wondered if it was because the stores were shutting?

I don't think it should have stopped you buying in-store. I'm assuming this was an Apple store. Lockdown doesn't kick in until midnight so until the store is open today you can pay for items in-store.
Maybe it was a technical issue.

EDIT: Looks like all stores have stopped pickup on the wallet, so they have probably stopped it a little earlier in case people pay and then can't pick up in time.

Unfortunately we have a confusing situation where they say you can click and collect from nonessential retail, but they also say you should only be going out shopping for essential items e.g. food and medicine. So how can you collect from nonessential retail if you're only allowed to go out to shop for essentials? Typical lack of joined-up thinking there again.
