Weird I remember way back there weren’t pre orders. They just went on sale. When they were sold in July before moving to the September timeframe. You ordered at Midnight on the day of release.
Looking forward to pre-order day folks!

iPhone 4 onwards was preorder. Preorder opened on 15th June 2010 with delivery on 24th June. Preorders have since shifted to a Friday.
Look at these prices for launch day. Frightening how much they cost now.

Scary that because of an iPod Nano it lead to having an iPhone, MacBook Pro, iPad, Mac Mini, in various iterations.

I started on a Nano myself. Just wanted a good MP3 player at the time. Nearly a decade and multiple iPhone's, 2 iPods and a MacBook Pro later (may upgrade that soon). First iPhone was the 5.I only joined the iPhone family on 3GS. I was originally a Nokia launch day guy!!

Makes no difference as long as you have data. Just make sure your refreshing from 2pm

I upgraded my MacBook Pro this year to the new 13”. I love it. Not ready for silicon ready yet.

It did. I remember queuing up at the Apple Store Brent Cross for a couple of hours pre launch and all the staff clapping as we walked in.
Damn you beat me to it 😂 was just gonna say the store literally just went down
