Ok so Apple have charged me for the 12 Mini which is good, but I still don’t have any email confirmation and the order doesn’t appear on my order list either. Tried calling Apple again this morning and it still says they can’t process my call then cuts off.

So frustrating.

Did you screenshot your order number ? Can you search for that on its own ? They wouldn’t have charged you without a valid order.

Edit to add there is a decent close-up of the Plum silicone case for those interested. Looks stunning! Apple have knocked it out the park with cases this year!

Should we expect to see any Flip Folio Apple cases this year or are we reliant only on 3rd Party for the 12's ?

I love how the circle graphic that comes up when you connect the case is colour matched to the colour of the case.

Contact Apple on 08000480408, it may cut off but keep trying until you get to the automated voice, then keep pressing 0 when it asks you to choose an option until it says it will pass you to an adviser - they will either be happy to help or transfer you to the sales team

I have not seen any official folio cases from Apple this year for the 12's so it's 3rd party only.

Apple's expensive new case is the leather sleeve which has a small notification opening, strap and slot for a card. Acquired taste as I really wouldn't want to be constantly taking my phone in and out, risking a drop. Possibly good for those who want to go with no case and use the sleeve to protect during travel.

Not Really weird, John Lewis were doing similar with the silicone cases for 12/12Pro
 
Think I’m sorted now
ESR screen protectors, clear MagSafe case from Apple (I want to see the PB) and picking up my MagSafe charger on Monday from PC World.
Might just have to get another 20W charger for it.
Never used a screen protector before, think I was put off by the first iterations years ago, but will give the ESR ones a go for the sake of £8 for 3.

6 days to launch :D
 
Word of caution on getting EE to do the order prior to launch time. I had to phone up at 14:00 as had received no confirmation mail, and wait for 45 minutes to get connected and complete the order as it got caught in processing or something.

They didn’t seem to know how esims work, something is coming in the post today so hopefully it is that.
 
Does anyone know, from experience of the last pre-order in october, when do Apple cases start shipping/preparing for dispatch...just wanna see something get some movement lol
 
Anyone here on EE lost their iPhone (11 Pro in my case - got mugged in London)


Can i return my old XR (also from EE) in the annual/anytime upgrade program?
 
Has anyone had any luck getting EE to waive their £100 upgrade fee? I can upgrade fee free on 30th Nov but if possible i'd like to try my chances before that 😬

Yeah my case was pending yesterday in the app store. As long as it's not gone to preparing to ship with your order you can cancel with Apple and they won't take payment.

I did the same last night and cancelled my Apple case order, my Amazon cases are arriving tomorrow, just got a dispatch notification!

iPhone pro max 256 gb Pacific blue ordered via EE. I saw everyone here getting loyalty discounts so I asked for one and they said they can’t add any discount for an anytime upgrade but I managed to ocnincd them and got 10% off so I’m actually paying less then I was for my 11
WHat did you say to get the 10%, i'm on my 3rd Annual upgrade (XR, 11 Pro, 12Pro Max) and dont know what to say to convince them. I get NHS discount too

Looks like Amazon have updated the prices now, leather cases showing as £59

It’s very very hard and nearly impossible over the phone.
On live chat I managed to get them to offer it and then recorded the chat and emailed it to the advisor I spoke to on the phone. The advisor on the phone said they can’t add discounts to an annual upgrade but once I emailed her the chat she spoke to her manager and they said they will manually deduct £10 off my bill each month.

on live chat you need to be really nice to them and say you will give them good feedback, then say “please can you give me a loyalty discount” they might say no but keep trying and if they insist no then say “I spoke to someone yesterday and they offered me a 10% loyalty discount so please speak to your manager and check this again” - both times I’ve been on live chat I’ve successfully had this 10% offered, you just need to keep insisting.
