I've always paid around £90 per month with Apple Music and EE Loss and Theft Insurance

£90 x 24 Unlimited Data, Apple Music, and Insurance
Yearly: £1080
2 Years: £2160

Then each year, I sell my iPhone I get about £600, then upgrade again.
This year I am not sure to either Early Upgrade or buy outright as Apple now do Theft insurance too

I stick with Sim only - £16 a month for 100GB (which is pretty much unlimited for me!!).

This year Im getting the 13 Pro Max 512GB on finance (for the first time - usually just pay up front), which is £56 a month, plus the £9.95 Applecare + theft (which can be cancelled any time).

Give or take same price at paying £90 at EE. Have you also got Apple Music, if so EE would be cheaper by £8pcm

I'm hoping I have better luck than last year when all the pre-filled details disappeared, I had to re-apply and had my delivery date 2 weeks after launch day

I put my phone back in the original box (without accessories) and then place that back into the original brown Apple postage box it came in (yes, I'm sad, I save postage boxes in the shed for when I send stuff I sell on eBay!!)

Currently I pay via EE.

£55.15 100GB + One Smart Benefit for iPhone 12 Pro Max 128GB
Total paid so far £55.15 x 12= £661.80 (price was £2-3 lower until price change)
Sold to MM for £705.00
Pay EE Early Fee £602.00
Cost me £558.80 @ £46.56 per month

I live in a city which has an Apple store. I'm weighing up whether the option of store pick may be better - if offered at checkout for a sooner date than delivery.

Did anyone do a launch day store collection last year - were the queues silly?
I usually collect from store each year.. just not this year

I had an 8am pick up last year when the store opened.. it was quiet.

Apple stores are limiting numbers in the store at any one time and the timeslot reservations help. there will be a different (shorter) queue for reservations

Had my 11 Pro Max listed there but I get the standard 'Is it available' messages then nothing else, or silly low offers below what MM have locked in.
No-one is dumb enough to give me what I want it seems.
Looks like Facebook marketplace is the same as USA. I had and the same experience. " Is it available" or those that wanted it shipped or those that offered me half of what my asking price was.

Last year I went to the Liverpool store before 10am and didn't really have any problems. It was reserved so I didn't just walk up and the COVID measures were in place etc. At that time the queues weren't bad.

If I remember rightly, there was a clothes shop downstairs that were having some sort of sale had a bigger queue!

Is that the correct link for Amazon. Only getting them 3 options ATM

I think its better to go apple finance (interest free) and get a cheap sim only deal with a phone network. All of this bundling in of Apple Music etc doesn't work out good value, in fact all it does is contract you to a music streaming service.

So I've got an iPhone X right now. I held off upgrading last year, assuming there'd be a redesign this year.

The smaller notch on the iPhone 13 is good, but I'm slightly concerned that we'll see a complete redesign in 2022. But, in the absence of a crystal ball, I can't know for sure.

Still in two minds about this one.

I’ll be picking mine up from my local store. Going to trade in my 11 Pro and don’t want to do this via the post!

Works out to be £22 a month for unlimited everything after you take the price of the phone out. Pretty much bang on a good SIM only deal.
But don't forget the negative points. Your phone is locked, its a PITA if you want to change configuration / colour. Any issues with the phone is a PITA to deal with. Apple always have more flexibility with those who have purchased direct from them.
