I have last years Pacific Blue and loved the colour, but the ‘baby blue’ was just not personally for me

Way too light coloured, so went for the graphite 13 Pro Max 512gb
Yeah, I am concerned a bit about that, but I ended up pre ordering the Sierra blue, for a pick up on Friday. I hope I can have a peek before I am served and if I don't like the colour, I can still say no.
I hope it's not baby blue, I don't think they would risk that as a pro colour. I can imagine a baby blue as a normal colour, just as the light blue the 5c had, but the Sierra looks way more muted. Fingers crossed.

So, Natwest have declined the transaction a 3rd time even after I spoke to them last night. No idea what is going on.
This happenned to me when i pre ordered the ipad pro also apple pay with natwest. got an email from apple saying declined. ended up calling apple and they had to do a card transaction via the long card number.

So let me get this straight. You can get a iPhone 13 pro max 256gb on 0% interest direct from Apple over two years at £47.87 and 160gb sim only deal with EE for £20. That’s zero up front and £67.87 a month. Or you can get it from EE for £50 up front and £75 a month for 40gb.

Are other networks and contracts the same and if so why would anyone buy from a network?
Oh 100% the networks want their profit on top no doubt. Which at times can be eye gouging!

But one small example - my brother, a mortgage and *almost* perfect credit, was declined for Barclays finance a few days ago from Apple. The only thing we can think of is he’s been in his current job less than 3-6 months. Nothing on Experian etc. shows anything that may have caused the rejection. So be it - but meant his options were now to utilise credit already available to him elsewhere or get a phone contract. He was lucky and was able to do the former. But easy to see how some may have little option but to pay network prices.

Also the vast majority of people don’t want the bother of having to do sort out the phone and sim separately, or are unaware they can!

You can’t make this up - i just rung their fraud team again, was told there’s no reason that the transaction should be declined.

He said that he suspects it’s because the retailer has set a limit on how much you can spend in a transaction with Apple Pay 👀

Explained that there is no way that’s the case and he could offer no help. Fingers crossed Apple can sort it when they open 🙏

Can people who have posted off to MM give some timeframes on when they posted and when the money was in their bank?

Asked a few days ago but we should have some more results now

planning on posting Monday and hoping I’d have the money by Friday latest

My Pro 256Gb Sierra Blue email order confirmation @ 13:01 now showing as "Preparing to Ship".

I posted Tuesday morning, arrived and inspected Thursday and had the money is the early hours of Friday morning.

Was not going to buy the 13. Thought that there may be some cheap deals on the 12pm once providers had released their 13 prices.

Checked Sky Mobile and the 13pm was £2 more expensive than the the 12pm. So went with the 256gb 13pm for £50 per month (3 year contract!) with no upfront payment

That’s only 20gb data, but apparently the most I have used is 18gb so should be fine for me.

So I went though EE for the anytime upgrade. They waived the £100 fee and with my 20% blue light discount I’m paying £60.40 with a smart benefit

Decided to go for the 13 Pro in Sierra Blue 128gb, from a standard 12. Never had a pro model so will be nice to try!

I know some think networks are rip offs but I just didn’t want another credit line and with my discount and Apple Music bundled in, I get a further discount as I have my home internet with EE 5G works out a cracking deal, should also be delivered on Friday!

Open a Starling accont in 2 minutes on your phone. Transfer the funds there. Setup ApplePay with Starling. Try again?

My order is also showing there again after disappearing yesterday evening.
I think that's just a bug in the app. It happens to me quite a bit. I find if I quit and instantly reload the app, my order will appear.

I've become very used to bugs in the Apple Store app after ordering the new 24" iMac and checking the app several times a day over the course of many weeks. 😆

Skipped EE's networks upgrade and put two through Apple by 13:03 yesterday after launch.

256gb Sierra Blue for the other half (coming from 11 PM 64) - delivery Friday 24th
512gb Silver for myself (coming from 11 PM 512) - delivery Friday 24th

The bad?
Slightly less optimistic about the silver being as per the X launch years ago and the Sierra blue being a downgrade on last years pacific blue
The good!
I'm shocked more than half the cost will be recuperated by selling the 11 PM's!

I have had the same problem with Lloyds in the past. Lloyds always blame the retailers, but pretty sure that the banks (not just Lloyds) put a limit on Apple Pay but they will not admit it. I now just use my CC, so much easier.

I posted to MM on Tuesday and they emailed yesterday (Friday) to say it’s been processed by Royal Mail but not yet at their warehouse. I’m surprised it’s taking that long! My 21 day window closes on 24th but didn’t want to risk it not getting there in time.

If you’re locked in for launch day delivery I would suggest just posting it today. Couple of extra days with an old phone vs missing the deadline and them slashing your offer in half ⚖️
