Which Model are you getting?

Opted to upgrade, swapped existing phone and went for the iphone 13 pro max 1TB. But got the distinct feeling I wont be getting it on release day. Which is fine. Love the Sierra Blue so sticking with that colour even if there's a delay. Apparently thus far, it's 'from the 24th September' - so I'm still waiting for an update on delivery. Anyone else upgrading through Sky?

New iPhone 14 rumours from Kuo. Time to cancel the 13 Pro preorder and wait.

This is partly why I almost wanted to hang fire for another year. But my iPhone X is nearly four years old and I really need a new one.

I just feel there has to be a fairly large redeisgn on the horizon. But eh, my iPhone 13 Pro will be worth a lot more money when it's only a year old compared to what I'm getting for my X. :D

Im in the same boat! The only reason i am upgrading is my screen had an unfortunate meeting with the floor! If it was in good condition id be tempted to get 1 more year out of it!

Is it Friday yet???

...wow - you got a better price than what they're currently quoting for the standard size iPhone 12 128gb (£380) !
Im quite happy with my quoted £630 for my 12 Pro 128gb, has anyone managed a better price with MM on this yet? Quoted on the 7th.

Had the 7+ half a day and I really don't mind it tbh! not heavy use but I can tell if I did the battery would die quickly, other than that, its still my favourite iPhone out of the ones ive had

Also if its any use to anyone, when transferring to it from my 12 Pro I chose to 'Transfer direct from device' instead of iCloud, no issues at all, not had to sign into any accounts or email etc. I think I normally do it via iCloud back up.

There was a pop up that said something about not being able to transfer a device again for 90 days? Could anyone else make sense of that as obviously ill be doing so on Friday..

Hello - another (impatient) post from me 😬 if my iPhone doesn't show any movement this week (delivery due 4th - 11th October) is there any chance that my nearest Apple store (40-minute drive) will have stock on 24th for walk-in customers and hence worth popping down or is it better to sit tight?

Thanks :)
If there’s no stock showing for pickup currently (iPhone 13 Pro Max I’m assuming) I guess your best shot will be to check from 6am Saturday (and daily thereafter) to see when your model becomes available in store

I feel exactly the same. I have 0 interest in paying £70 for a new battery for my X, plus the cameras are awful for 2021. If next year’s phone is amazing and has a standout new feature worth having (pinhole camera doesn’t count), i will sell the 13 Pro to a family member and upgrade. I can’t wait forever.

Thanks JinJin - I had a look everywhere reasonably plausible but none are showing as available for the Pro Max 256gb :(. I've looked at everywhere within about a 125 miles radius - the only area that comes up is in Cornwall but showing as pick up for 20th October. I am trying to be patient 🤣
Might be worth giving John Lewis a look on Friday morning (they have 2 year warranty also). Last year I had one from Apple but there were micro scratches, they were happy to change but would have had to wait a month so got one from AO who I was very impressed with. I’ve since bought other things from them and they’ve been great.
Good luck!!

What happens if don’t have old iPhone? I’m doing an IUP so will be swapping, ideally wanted to just pickup new and take home.

What happens in this case please?
I also want to know this. Last year when I did the IUP they wiped my old phone as part of the sales process. That means I won’t be able to receive the text surely?

you can 'reserve' a handset for collection in essence through the IUP link...

as its all set up in store, you don't pay anything now for it... and if you do decide to go any collect it, just tell them you decided to pay up front for it all.

maybe give a local store a call? interesting on if they will take walk-ins... I can't see them not, just might be a longer queue with much limited stock. I'd suspect you'd have to be there early to have a potential shot of getting one.

but call and ask maybe.

so, as @Loopy65 said, John Lewis will have stock and you'll get it next day (Saturday) from them.
