So it seems like its deliberate that the MM codes cant be used with the kiosk option. This was the response i got:

Kindly note that if you are submitting your device via the smart drop kiosk the promo code can not be added, the order does go to a standard order whereas you will be required to send the device to us via courier.

so, like a fool I locked in a music magpie quote a few days too early for the 21 days to cover me. I don't want to sell my phone before I have the new one so I now need to somehow extend the duration of the offer.

Any advice? Will music magpie offer an extension if I ask nicely? Or am I better to cancel and re-apply (the price still looks good)? Will they still give me the same price if I re-apply?

If the price is the same, re-apply but you’ll need to use a different email address.

Wow that’s a big jump.

got mine for 740 with MM but I may go with plunc as it’s a quick sale. As you get it next day from when you post it where MM seems to take longer

....wow - just checked the price for an iPhone 12 - 2/3 days ago, they were offering £475. Today, its down to £380...?!!!!

....why don't you just wait until the phone is out - I doubt you'll find any genuine 13 screen protectors out there...!!

It’s a fair point but someone’s got to be the guinea pig. Respected manufacturers like ESR have had the schematics for months. There‘s a few quid to be saved and if nothing else I’ve drawn attention to some unscrupulous Amazon vendors 😂

iPhone 12 Pro Max 256gb sent off to MM, was able to lock in £740 before the price slash. The labels are 2nd class post so should get there by Friday. Had some tiny scratches around the side and hoping I don’t get done on the price.

Gone back to my XS max which is surprisingly snappy and as responsive as my 12 pro max. The only notable differences are the battery degradation and lower resolution camera.

Yeah we’ve got a nice bunch of people in here. Sure the US will catch up eventually but we do punch above our weight. Haven’t seen a Canada thread yet so you’re welcome to join us!
 
Anyone waiting to pre-order from Amazon? :) Hopefully they'll match the prices that they offered last year, I am only sad that I didn't order two iPhones.

In other news I just locked £600 from MM for the 12 Pro 256.

That’s a lot of trouble for a screen protector

I usually get apple to stick one on when I pick up the handset
