brilliant many thanks for explaining! So the trade in stuff is actually done at the credit pre-approval stage rather than the buying the phone stage? that sounds a lot better than what I was expecting
Yep. That's right. All taken care of at pre-approval stage if taking out credit.

The price you pay for the phone with 24 months credit reflects the trade in value at the time of purchase, so your repayments are lower.

So long as you do send the trade in phone and they don't quibble the condition, you're golden.

With plunc, their quote seems valid as long as they receive the iPhone within 14 days, so if I were to start a recycle for my iPhone 12 and take the current value, 14 days from today is 22nd September. If the announcement is on the 14th, with pre-orders on the 17th, then delivery is likely to be the 24th, meaning a recycle started today has to be received by 22nd, 2 days before the new phone is received. Might be better to wait until 13th, which lets you backup and restore to the new phone on the 24th, then ship it on the 24th/25th to arrive on Monday 27th.

Sorry, just thinking out loud.

Has anyone changed from a physical sim card to an eSIM or planning to on the iPhone 13? I am with EE and they have improved their eSIM swap process, but at the moment it still seems like the eSIM is bit more hassle than just swapping the physical sim and takes longer for the transfer to happen.

Download the EE app, you can download a digital eSim for the transfer. Worked fine for me for my insurance replacement.

if its anything like MM then its not just the day they receive the phone but when its 'checked in'. I've had occasions when Royal Mail have delivered the phone on a Friday but they haven't acknowledged it in their system (i.e. processed it in) until the following Monday. If you leave it too late you might get caught out.

Hi everyone. I’ve passed my son my 12 Pro Max since his Huawei P20 Pro was getting on a bit and he wants to return to the Apple ecosystem for his music. I’m using an 11 at the moment and feel I do prefer the 6.1” size. I would like promotion and always on display, which means a Pro model, but if they add extra stuff to the max and the battery is much better, I’ll find it difficult not to go Max. I really like the standard 12 for the colours, weight and size and almost got that. Looking forward to the event on Tuesday and then less than 70 hrs to make my mind up!

If that 14 looks anything like that in a years time then they’ll sell more than ever!

Talk about taking away the buzz of the 13 release
Really does look exactly how I personally would want a 2022 iPhone to look!

I don't know how wide Prosser's scope is in the tech world but I wonder if it will influence peoples decision on now waiting on the 12, skipping the 13 before upgrading to the 14. Probably unlikely but its interesting.

For sure that leak now takes away the usual glossy Apple jazz surrounding the 13 launch!

MM has now dropped the 256GB 12 Pro Max price even further to £570 o_O

Edit - ignore me its still on at £600, £570 is regular Pro.

I was too excited with the launch of the iPhone 14 :p

The iPhone 14 wallpaper even matches my study flowers. Kudos to Prosser today.

Note: iPhone not to scale 😂

Still couldn’t find the 5s so I’ve given up looking for it.
Not going to buy an SE and return within 14 days.
Decided to just buy a Jet Black iPhone 7 for £100 from MM to use as a spare every year so I can always send off earlier and get the best price. Excited to relive the excitement of the Jet Black again.

How long do I have with MusicMagpie before I have to send the item in??
Ive locked the price in and have the QR code for postage etc - can I hold off a while??
I think I read someone in the thread it was something around 21 days??

I’ve sent off my 11 Pro to music magpie and I’ve borrowed my 9 year old daughters iPhone 7 (mat black).

It’s so tiny to hold I feel like I’m going to drop it. I couldn’t remember how to trigger Apple Pay either when I was in the supermarket.
