I got my 512GB iPhone 13 Pro from EE a few days ago but was able to order a gold 1TB Pro Max from KRCS and got it the following day.

The bigger size is proving manageable and the battery is awesome. Not to mention I would go back to my 21/m 200GB plan.

Decisions, decisions!

Just keep both.

Anyone have any dealings with carphone warehouse trade in? As I traded my old phone in via Royal Mail special delivery for next day delivery using the package they send out. It’s been 4 days now and have not heard anything from carphone at all. Making me think that my package has been lost or stolen. How long does the process take? Should I been concerned?

I’m still fighting for a refund and cancellation of my iPhone pre order that DPD lost. It would appear that they’re now fully “Currys” and have different customer service team etc so I wish you luck dealing with them and their non English fluent call centre.

What happened with your lost device, was it lost on its way to you? If so, you’re totally not liable- speak to your card company.

Carphone Warehouse sent the phone to DPD. It was then scanned into their depot, and that was the last anyone ever saw of it. Delivery never happened, it never got scanned/ loaded onto a van. So it must have been stolen IMO.

It was a new contract I took out, received the paperwork from Vodafone but no phone or SIM card. Let’s just say I’ll never buy another thing from Currys after dealing with their customer service team.

For for some reason music magpie don’t want my colour Apple Watch so can’t sell it to them. They are offering relatively decent prices as well (compared to the rest)

Is this a genuine Apple cable?

My initial reaction, based purely on the packaging is yes (assuming the seal is intact). Usually counterfeit Apple goods will have a spelling mistake or two. Only real way to tell would be to open it up and look along the cable for the 'Designed by Apple in California. Assembled in China/Vietnam/Brasileira' and the presence of a serial number.

Apple have their own page to check for authenticity:

I'm currently listening to Apple Music on my 13 Pro with iOS 15.0, via my AirPods 2.

I've just noticed that on my Apple Watch, with Watch OS 7.6.1, I am NOT getting the 'Now Playing' icon at the top of the Watch Face??!

Is this a bug or have I done something wrong??!

It cycles through various icons depending on what’s going on.

Still thinking of moving to an eSIM (Vodafone).

I was considering it.. my backup though is an android so if I ever got stuck for a few days after smashing my 12 I’d have to faff with SIM card stuff with a physical sim anyway!!

Well had an unexpected phone call from Three today…

I’d requested my PAC code from them when I originally ordered my 13 Pro from CW, but DPD lost that and I was then without a phone.

Decided to get the 13 mini and was happy with it, but today Three phoned me practically begging me to stay.

Long story short, got the 13 Pro 256GB with 100GB data, unlimited texts/calls for £50 a month and £49 up front.

So in total I’m paying £1249 where as if I’d just bought the phone from Apple it would have been £43.70 a month and then I’d have been paying for a sim only deal on top. So I’m paying £200 for 2 years worth of data, calls etc which breaks down to £8.30 a month!!

Very happy with that deal, my wife can now have this 13 mini and I’ll sell my 12 mini that she was going to have which should pay off most of the 13 mini’s cost.
