I bought a XR and sold my 12PM few months back cracking phone for the price
plus can’t have buyer remorse now with already selling the PM on
looks like the Xr would be the minimum I'd drop to. will still support iOS 16 and gives me a few years of use out of it too... tempted!

mind asking how much you paid?

Currently in two minds thinking of keeping my 13 pro as burner lol and sell 12 pro.

not bad if you can have it! a 12 or 13 as a burner would be great!

looks like a 128GB XR in 'pristine' condition from MM would be around £340. I wouldn't feel as bad at that price if it sat around as a backup.

just worked out my current finance position with Barclays on the current 13pro... on the 19th of this month will be the 11th payment leaving just under £700 outstanding with Barclays. the Apple Care refund would be around £130 or so.

hm, might be a good time to cash in!

I will have £502 left to pay on EE contract by end of this month.

Yes defo the right time to cash in.

Just had a look at Vendi again and price has dropped.

Ive also locked in price on MM with the code you posted.

Seems expensive, I bought my Mrs an iPhone 12 in Grade A from CEX for £450 on Sunday. It was sold as Grade B because the little info booklet was missing from the box.

EDIT: It was only a 64gb model though....

hmm, maybe a 64Gb might suffice..

surprisingly I'm only 87gb/256GB on the 13.

18gb of photos.. when migrating to a new phone, I'd assume they would just stay on iCloud if the phone ran out of space?
JinJin I used the option in iCloud settings for photos optimise iPhone storage so it keeps full res in iCloud and smaller ones on the device needing less physical storage on the phone. Come iPhone 14 will just swap settings back to store on the device.

Still showing 12GB free and running iOS 16 Beta with 2000 photos 134 vids in iCloud

nice.

Have locked in the MM offer at £715 and now have 21 days to get it into them... I'll do a bit of snooping around for an XR

this will change in the coming weeks! switching up from a pro to a pro max maybe? :)

good to read about vendi working out for a few of you! I might have to keep a small tracker of prices from a few sites and see how they change over the next month!

Vendi offering £720 vs MM with £710 for my 13Pro 256GB.

always regret not having a burner phone!

EDIT: £5 more from MM with code '5MORE'
Came on here specifically to see if anyone was aware of any MM Codes 😆👍

Think I've gone a week too early on securing the MM order... Going away for a week around the 20th and want a decent camera option :D

will continue to check MM prices and if they stay as they are, I'll lock in a new price in a week

so who has bought a 'burner' phone to tide them over until the 14 is announced?

Wouldn't mind a cheap alternative I could use and sell the current phone early.

any recommendations on a minimum phone to start at? also what kind of money would people be willing to spend on a phone which might get a months use and then back in the drawer for a year?
I bought a 13 mini back in April to try it out and missed the return date so it have come in handy. Will just keep this as my burner until it dies....
