Whats the best way to book an instore pickup for an apple store tomorrow? I know it's a 6am start but do we just go through the normal buy process and select the store at the end? or is there a better more specific link? or way to pre-prepare for it to get the best chance of one...
There is a stock checker you can use, it's pretty much realtime so when one pops up you can go to the store and order it from that branch.

I've seen the link in these hundreds of pages somewhere, I'm sure someone will link you to it.

I used it some years ago, but you have to be quick as they sell in minutes.

Still no movement on Amazon. It should be criminal to so clearly sell more than they know they have available.

But at the end of the day, I still point the blame at Apple for ****ing up the pre-order for the Barclays pre-approved people on the Apple Store app.
Amazon dispatch quite late as they use their own logistics. Sometimes it won’t dispatch until late at night.

I know others have had good experiences but I have been well a truly conned by them and now out of pocket by a huge amount.

I sent them an immaculate iPhone 13 Pro Max, I mean absolute mint condition, almost as perfect as the day I bought it from Apple. High-quality Tourras screen protector installed on the day I purchased it, always in a shockproof case, I even had a camera lens protector installed as I am so OCD about my tech. Never dropped and never mishandled, literally no scratches on stainless steel case apart from normal "micro Scratches" and even they were minimal. If I received my iPhone as refurbished I would have been made up - hell it still had 100% battery health.

I sent it so highly packaged - in the original Apple box which I taped shut, that was wrapped in bubble wrap and taped, then placed in a box and parcel taped within an inch of its life.

After rather suspicious delays between delivered status and they received it and after an inspection found the screen chipped, scratches on the screen, and a crack. Offer reduced from £700 to £143 as they deem the damage that bad. When challenged they have shown me photographic evidence and I can swear that the screen they showed was not the screen that was on my phone. My screen had zero scratches due to the screen protector and no chips - I closely inspected it at the point of despatch and polished it with a lint-free cloth. I reiterate that it was the definition of mint condition. Further, it was so over-packaged that I cannot see how it could have been damaged in transit.

I am devastated (strong words but it's how I feel) - I have zero recourse as they claim that's the phone they received (possibly it is but something amiss has happened in the meantime). There is nothing I can do but reject their offer and receive a damaged phone back that I swear has a screen on that is not mine. Resale value is now hugely impacted, this is not the phone I sent them, and I am out of pocket by a huge amount. They will not entertain any liability and just say that's the phone I sent - the IMEI number matches.

What can I do - seems to be absolutely nothing.
That's awful. I'm so sorry to hear it, and wish I could say something to make you feel better.

I took dated photos and video of my iPhone, including me packing it into the box as well as the packaging material I used to protect it inside the box (the iPhone was also inside the original retail box) just for this sort of scenario...so that I could either call their bluff if I ever had to or to claim off RM for damage in transit. Luckily it was all smooth and got payment from MM within 24 hours of RM receiving it.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I have a habit of taking photographic and video evidence every time I sell or trade in an item, including me packaging and weighing the item at the post office (lol) once I’ve packaged it due to eBay fraud.

That’s crap. I’ve had nothing but good experience with MM. Bought a refurbished MacBook from them a few years ago and sold countless phones and macs to them. Shame your experience hasn’t been great.

Ouch! What a drop in price!!!
I would also ask for the return - no other choice considering the drastic drop in price.
Hold your breath and see what you receive back......

I have to say I have had a 'similar' situation with them.

Went to sell my phone to them (iPhone X I believe it was) and there was obviously a mistake on their website (the phone was way overpriced for what it was). I accepted the offer and sent it off. Once they received it they claimed the screen was damaged and offered me a MUCH lower price. I said no and asked for the phone back.

It got returned in the same condition I sent it (perfect) and I went into CPW who inspected it and said it was fine, paid me there and then onto my card.

If they held their hands up and said look, we made a mistake, we should have offered you this, will you take it I probably would have said yes, instead they lied to get out of paying it.

Cowboys!

Wow, that’s shocking. I’ve sold half a dozen phones to them and never had an issue. Situations like this are always “their words against mine”, but do you have photos from before you packed it?

Sorry to hear you’re having such a crap time with them. Everyone recommends them because they’re usually quick and easy, and the best-paying. Seriously bad luck with yours. 😞
I know their reputation is good, everyone seems to not have a bad word to say about them but something has seriously gone wrong with my order. I honestly cannot fathom it, whilst it sounds completely bonkers to say this looking at the photos of the screen they showed me to back up their position I would say someone has swapped out a damaged screen with mine. No way to prove this, and does sound ridiculous but honestly, I was shocked at the screen they showed to back up their assessment - it was the difference between someone who tosses their phone around and drops it to my perfect unscratched and unchipped phone screen.

This has ruined the iPhone 14 purchase as I don't think I can now afford to buy it as, like everyone else, I rely on the re-sale value of my previous phone. The irony, I opted for Music Magpie this year as opposed to eBay to avoid these shenanigans.

I always take photos before and a video of it - as proof of it's condition

Don’t stress, Amazon can send you a dispatch notification after 10:30pm and you will still get your delivery next day. That’s just how they work
I hope so. An upgrade in 3 years iv been patient for this… and if Amazon messes this up GRRRR

How did you package it? I reckon it got tossed about by Royal Mail and got damaged.

Can you ask them to return it back to you and try an alternative place, like reBuy? They're currently offering £652 for an iPhone 13 Pro Max 128GB (wasn't sure on your capacity).

From what you've described, it sounds like they're looking at a completely different phone - perhaps they've mixed yours up with another somehow due to the number of phones they'd have been receiving.

This is all MY FAULT

To think I could trust those Scoundrels at EE for a 2nd year running

They proper did a number on me with the 13 Pro Max where I had to change the colour just to get it 3 weeks later!

And this year same old same old,

Fool me once shame on you fool me twice….

I ordered at like 13:10 on Pre Order day aswell.

I’ve got some bad luck man.

If the deal wasn’t £54 a month for the 256GB Pro Max with Unlimited everything I’d have left these liars time ago!

The latest from 150 is “EE received no Pro Max’s” so everyone who’s said their Pro Max’s are dispatched are “Lying” it’s literally laughable at this point.

Great.
Hi,

checked your post history and looks like we've got quite a similar background in that I called EE around 1:30PM and they even managed to waive my £300 fee (my free anytime upgrade was 22/10)

I couldn't track my order until this lunchtime - around 4/5 hours after my DPD notification.

My DPD said it was received at 6am but some people received it at 2am so there may still be hope?

Also did you get charged £6.95 for delivery soon after you called them?

How the hell did they mess up your order?

BTW your deal almost sounds too good to be true? i cant find it on their site

They've got themselves covered - photographic evidence along with the screen showing IMEI number.

Send them the photo's you took of it as you packed it up before you sent it and get them to claim on their postal insurance?

The only complaint I have with MM is that it took them a while to return my MacBook as I had forgotten to disable Find my Mac. By the time I got it back the price has dropped so sent it to MacBack instead. Don’t expect them to return it this week, it’ll be back end of next week when you get it back I imagine.
