A few hours in an what can I say, such a fantastic device. Loving the proportions moving from a pro max to the pro is certainly ticking hte boxes I hoped it would....

Despite being more expensive, I am also sticking with the Apple leather Ink case. it matches the Deep Purple (for what is left to see on the camera housing) and the slim snug fit is just perfect. Silicon to go back and maybe get the Apple wallet to go with the case.
 
  • Well, my sister's phone arrived first via DPD
  • My DHL package arrived 2 hours later and was 20 minutes after the estimated arrival time.
  • Set-up has been fine, I restored using iTunes. Banking apps are always a pain to do though!
  • Happy with the Deep Purple.
  • Biggest impression so far (coming from 6S Plus) is just how fluid the animations are (thanks ProMotion)

Was estimated 14:42 - 15:42 and still sat here waiting hour and half after my slot, does anyone know what time DPD deliver until? *sobs*

Looks like I'll need to go in store for a genius appt - the senior advisor doesn't know what to do...

Anyone done a repair with a new phone before?
 
Went to the store and got myself one, however how it works is you can't buy in the store no more you have to order online to be picked up in the store so I'll have to wait until Sunday

I did it with a M1 iPad took about a week to find a device to exchange it coz there was no stock. Wasn’t DOA but had memory issues with constant app crashing

Tell me about it. The difference in how they handle security varies a lot. Two of my credit cards happily just used FaceID as normal. Barclaycard wants my life history and firstborn child to get back in. And Starling needed a video but will now take an hour and a half to approve it. Better not be any delays with that as it’s my primary banking app!

BarclayCard was a pain in the butt had to film a video and upload my driving licence

Especially Chase which requires to take another photograph your driving licence/passport and take a selfie then decides it's not happy. I did this six times and it still isn't happy that it's me! It has now gone for manual verification which will take around 24 hours. Steer clear! All the other banks were pretty straightforward, still annoying though.

Chase are currently having issues with the iPhone 14 they put an update out on there website about it

Same here! Had to do the manual check, took just over an hour.

This is my first iPhone launch day, I moved over to iPhone last year but was late to the party. The lead up to today couldn’t have gone worse…

When I first tried to do the early upgrade through EE I was charged the full fee but at the end of checkout the site crashed (this was in the first hour). I was panicking since I knew the phones sell out for launch day pretty quick, called them up and after a lengthy hold got told ultimately nothing could be done but re-order and wait for the first payment to revert (still waiting).

The second attempt worked but it was a couple hours after preorders went live, and worse yet the order tracking on the site just wouldn’t work. An error would display telling me to call.

So we get to today, I have no texts, no DPD app info, still no order tracking available. I call up and cross my fingers… it only got delivered to the store this morning!

Best lunch break ever collecting it!
