I tried transferring from a nearby phone but kept getting an ineligible message. Ended up getting a qr code from the ee app but even then it took ages for the esim to activateMine took 10mins.
What method did you use?
EE have been a joke. It was supposed to be easy to transfer an esimSo abit of a nightmare with my EE esim - the auto transfer failed, I manually tried and also failed, at that point I thought I’d remove the sim from my old phone and try again… big mistake!
I can add the esim to my new phone but to activate it try’s to text which obviously I don’t get now. I called EE, the guy I spoke to laughed when I said I need help with my esim - said he’s been dealing with iPhone esim issues all day, said most successful way has been to not try transfer when setting up and doing it after for some reason.
He’s said he’s activated my esim now but it would only let him activate it in 24 hours so it should in theory start working tomorrow evening.
He did mention about going in store with ID - has anyone done this for an esim I’m wondering if this could speed up the process? Am abit worried if it’s not working tomorrow evening then we are going into Sunday / bank holiday with no service. Appreciate it’s my error for deleting my previous esim but it’s frustrating they are unable to activate it sooner then 24 hours 😌
Looks amazing! So does the ink case look purple at all? I want to get it if it’s mostly navy blue
For the language go to the Settings app > General > Language & Region and you'll have an option to add a language. Add English UK and then you can remove whatever is set as main.Thank you so much for your reply.
How about the United Kingdom as the main language in the set up which hasn't appeared the 2nd time? Do you think there is anything else that might have been erased?
I couldn't as the old phone was Android and the only possible way is to start "Move to IOS" which can only be done during the set up.
You should be able to re-download those from the App Store.Congratulations to all of you who received the new iPhone today..
This is my first time getting an iPhone. After I finished setting it up, I realised that I have to erase it to transfer WhatsApp chat history from Android. After doing that, the phone did not suggest the UK on the top of the list of countries like the first time I set it up. When I reached the main screen, 4 apps were missing which are iMovies, GarageBand and two more. I'm confused now and worried that I might erased more things that I haven't noticed. How would you explain the missing apps? And what more doyou thinkhas been erased? I feel like the phone has lost its new personalisation.
Please help!!!
Welcome Samsung marketing teamNothing exciting or revolutionary anymore. Just another iPhone tbh. Just like the old one really.
It went on easy, no problems. It does not reach all the way to the edges so cases shouldn’t be a problem. So far so good. I had the Armorite last year, I can’t tell the difference. Now where is the LK screen protector crew?
35-45 mins to transfer data to new iPhone.
Congratulations to all of you who received the new iPhone today..

Also, I’ll stay caseless for now. I started using my 13P caseless recently and even though I bought an Ink 14P leather case, I’ll use this new phone caseless most of the time.
I did get the Armorite screen protector though, will see how long that ends up remaining there!
And no I’m not from the Samsung marketing department 😂
Let me know how you get on at Asda with the smart kiosk. Looking to go on Sunday 👍🏽Finally coming up for air after release day.
Picked up my 14 Pro Max successfully and wife's 14 Pro was delivered on time and without hassle by DHL. Only noticed after the fact that there was a typo on the postcode!
I went for the silver and wife has deep purple. There is a subtle difference in the white back versus my 13 Pro Max. The deep purple is stunning; really classy and sleek. I can't say I don't have colour envy...
Will try out the Music Magpie kiosk at Asda later. Hopefully there'll be somebody on their side to initiate the check.
I opted to do a clean setup. iCloud data pulled down successfully and apps without iCloud data were set up manually. This took up most of my day but it was worth it as I've managed to recover 20GB+ of storage space and I now have a lean base to build on - my previous backup has been incremented upon since the OG 2007 release!
Loving the Dynamic Island. It's fun, whimsical and visually striking. Haven't had a chance to use the cameras in anger yet, but will give that a shot later in the park with my son.
Desperately waiting for my Peel thin cases to arrive. This ESR basic clear case does the job until then, but it's so thick and adds additional bulk to an already big phone. I've had to return the thin Memumi case from Amazon and it sported camera lens bezel coverage, which didn't fit.
Next quest is to source a Series 8 steel watch with milanese loop. No store stock available anywhere except Regent Street currently. I fear some AirPods Pro 2 may also be beckoning...
It's been fun, guys!
