Day 3 with the iPhone 14 Pro Max and I’m REALLY happy with it. It’s just pure quality, a joy to use.

Everything now set up and the battery seems to have settled down. Yesterday I took it off charge at 100% at 5:00am. I spent many hours surfing the web, keeping up with the forum, on Twitter and FaceAche, listening to music or the radio, and finally went to bed at 1:00am this morning 20 hours later with a charge of 21% remaining. Clearly, it would have lasted 24 hours if given the chance. In my book, that’s impressive!

Not yet put the camera to the test but I’m pretty sure that won’t disappoint.
This is exactly the type of battery performance I need. Glad I went PM this year

Anyone on here got any experience with the MagSafe wallet? I am tempted but wonder if I am just wanting to spend money for no reason.

I have a nice Umbria leather case and was looking at the matching wallet.
I've got the Apple magsafe wallet.
I carry my driving license, an Amex credit card and a MasterCard credit card (not everywhere takes Amex). That's all I need.
Can't remember the last time I actually took anything out of the magsafe wallet though. I Apple pay for everything and all store cards I need are in the Apple wallet on the phone.

Hey guys - I know MM has been a bit of a hit and miss this year but wanted to get some advice!

I sent my 13p at 9am Saturday ( once the 14P was setup and confirmed as defect free ).

To my surprise the item has already been delivered ( next day).

When should I expect an acknowledgement / inspection /
payment notification?

Cheers all!!
All that means is it’s been delivered to the RM DC. MM won’t probably get the phone until mid next week, and then it could be up to a week before the acknowledge and test it.

Yeah that’s kinda the reason why I wouldn’t bother getting one. I use Apple Pay for everything, so seems redundant for me.

I only take the physical cards for the few places that don't do Apple pay (such as the M6 Toll road) or for the situation where the Apple pay doesn't work.
Driving license because you can't yet put a UK license in the Apple wallet.

Ref the Always on Display, in the reviews and on this forum I've seen lots of people saying it's too bright and they wish it was dimmer. I'm at the point where I'm wondering if my unit is defective because my AOD is so dim, it's practically off. It's like having the screen on the minimum brightness setting for me - is that normal? If it's on the desk I can just about see the time but would have to move quite close to the screen face on to read the widgets for example?

Mine is definitely dim as well, maybe everyone else just uses their phone at 10% brightness all the time or something 😂

Haha! I honestly feel like mine is way too dim to glance at on the desk comfortably beyond the clock. Like I wouldn't be able to see the music widget or read a notification without basically looking directly at the phone closely, which turns the screen on anyway?

It's making me sad and seeing so many people complain it's too bright is just confusing the sh*t out of me, it couldn't be any dimmer without being off for me!

I'm calling mine the Barely On Display.

Same. At night when I have sleep mode on I use the moon wallpaper. I can barely see it when AOD is on so I only see the clock and it doesn’t distract me when sleeping

I do think it is all perception, everyone will have a different opinion of what bright is to them.

Yeah, maybe. But in the review vids I've seen and Apple's on materials you're clearly meant to be able to see the smaller text/widgets - I can't see much more than the clock.

I got one but I’ve mislaid it in the house and can’t for the life of me find it.

They are very neat. Nicely made but of limited use really because you can only carry 2 cards in them (without stretching the leather).
Mine holds 3 cards easily.

99% of the time I don’t carry a wallet but when I do I just grab my Apple wallet off the fridge it is magnetised to where it lives, slap it to the back of my iPhone and go. Love mine for its convenience.

Carries my driving licence and my two debit cards.

I backed an AirTag wallet on Kickstarter (SnapBack Slim Air), but like you, I’m now Apple Pay for everything.

I moved away from my Apple Watch a couple of months ago, to a Withings Scanwatch Horizon (which I’m really happy with), so now I just use my phone.

I do have a Curve card (which acts as a front end card that uses an app for you to set which of your cards it charges to-except Amex).

I’m a chauffeur, so I keep that and my Starling business account card in my car for car parks etc.

I used to keep the wallet with the AirTag in the car with me, until I realised it was pretty redundant as I always use AP, so it lives at home in my bedside drawer! 🙄 😃

[Edit] - Wallet…

Maybe yours is faulty (Too dark) Everyone else is faulty (Too light) and mines working fine (Just right) 😂
I'll have to get used to it! Or take it to a phone shop and compare to the devices in there I suppose!

Trust yours to be perfect 🙄😂

Regards AOD, does anyone elses AOD completely turn off at some point during the night? Last 2 mornings when I've woken up I've had to tap the screen to bring the phone back to life as the screen has gone completely black. Is this normal?
