What model are you getting?

I got a good deal from O2 as an upgrade from my S5, otherwise I’d have gone for buying outright at Costco.
This way I essentially work out at about the same price after adding my £5 a month airtime to the Costco price, but pay in instalments (which pleases the wife).

I’m surprised you don’t last a day on the S7 with an hour workout. I could do 90 minutes on cellular with music when I’m running with the S5 at 3 years old and still only just finish a full day of usage without topping up before bed
Yep battery health is 85%. Really seems to take a hit atm.

I usually do 20 mins HIIT, 10 mins core & 10 mins strength on Apple Fitness+ and then probably a 40 mins slow slow dog walk (my dog is 14).So maybe a bit more than an hour, but none of that is on cellular as have phone with me.

Anyway, just half mentioned it to the wife and got approval, so:

I even bought her some bin liners for the kitchen bin lol :)

Love the addition of the bin liners, great way to keep her happy.

I hope you enjoy the ultra

I couldn't believe how simple it was to get 'Board' approval. I thought it would be like presenting a change request at work for a production system that take ages for approval and only after hours or arguing over the most minute detail lol.

"Thinking of getting an Ultra as they are on pay in 5 on amazon"
"good idea, can I have your Hermes?"

...and there was the catch.... :)

I’m holding off on the Ultra. I am going to do what I do every year and buy £150 of Apple vouchers every month for the next few months. That way I will have at least £600 when the new watch/ phone comes out to soften the blow. Same as doing pay in 5 on Amazon.

#FirstWorldProblems

Rumours are no replacement for Ultra until 2024.

Quick q, For those of you on EE, what is the process to move your cellular plan from one watch to another? I did it 18 months ago, but can't remember. Do I call them of can I do it on my own?

It's here! Paired and EE plan moved over in 10 mins (needed an EE CS rep, but was painless) Now on charger as updating to 9.4. Impressed so far with the size and screen. Doesn't feel bulky at all or weighty. I am coming form a SS S7 and feels the same weight.

Now hurry up AWU and update so I can play!!!!!!

I can’t believe this thread is still going

Hey welcome back!!!

Have to stay in here until iPhone keynote!

Just been doing some research and looks rebuy has gone.

Their SSL certificate is dead and you get this.

Wonder if they will actually come back. The German arm seems to be alive.

Oooh that’s interesting. Yes I’ve been thinking about the new iPhone 😅 however I’m in the market for a new MacBook first 😏

From what I remember these threads stay alive right up until keynote day, when they’re allowed to create a new one.
I’m fairly active as I’ve only just picked up a 14PM and an Ultra. I’d promised myself I’d only upgrade one of them this year and my watch was the oldest, but after my 12 Pro acting up I decided to splash out a bit and replace both.
I’ll likely stay fairly quiet in the follow up threads until at least the 17 release now, if my iPhone purchases are anything to go by.

We’ll break you. There will be an iPhone 15PM and a Ultra 2 in your basket by mid September :p

Sorry it’s off topic guys but I need some advise and I didn’t get any response on my thread…
I’m looking to upgrade my old MacBook Pro and wondering is the base model of the 14” MacBook Pro M2 2023 enough power to say run games like sims 4 with expansions etc?
Thanks!

A very quick web search of ‘Sims 4 MacBook M1’ suggests that it runs fine on an M1 MacBook Air with packs and mods.

But I have no actually experience of it myself

Have you guys seen the rumours about the 16 pro and 16 pro Max? The 16 pro is rumoured to have a 6.3 inch screen and the Pro Max will have a 6.9 inch! That's just too big for me, way too big! The 14 pro Max is big enough thank you!

Yeah, the 14 Pro is as big as I personally would want or need, but I guess the fact that phone tech has sort of peaked they’ve got to change some things to appear “new”.

I can see a time not too far from now when 6” is going to be considered small and compact!
