Was it sent via Special Delivery?

I think ill be sending mine Special Delivery before 9pm lol.
Yes, sent via SD, mainly for the confidence that it will actually arrive than being worried about timing. I used these guys last year and was pleasantly surprised, I got a bank transfer from them and confirmation of sale at the exact same time. I'm hoping for something similar this time....

Annoyingly we've had no physical unit leaks just yet, but in the next week id expect to start seeing some

As soon as a unit with the 'CE' branding on the side makes an appearance with or without a sim tray, then we'll know!
I remember Marques Brownlee saying last year that he had been using the iPhone 14 pro in advance of the launch and no one noticed as it was so similar to the iPhone 13 Pro in appearance. Given the appearance of the iPhone 15s are rumoured to be very similar to the 14s, it’s possible that they are out there but you wouldn’t notice, especially if they had a case or skin on. Of course if it had a case or skin you’ve got no way of knowing if there’s still a sim tray.

I sent my iPhone 14 pro by special delivery to UR on the Thursday before the bank holiday weekend. It arrived on the Friday and payment cleared to my account the following Wednesday. Allowing for the bank holiday that’s a two day turn around.

I think what MKBHD meant was that he was using it before launch but after the announcement. As I believe the press/reviewers get their units at/post-announcment.

White Silver is calling my name unless Titan Grey really stands out in keynote and doesn’t look like a boring version of Silver and Titanium Grey inbetweeners.

I’m with you here. The renders for the grey are too light for me, I’m tempted to go white. Winder if the white band will be a more polished titanium on it though..

It can only be after seeing apples real work… they hardly ever make a “bad” colour and I’m sure I’ll be easily swayed!

White looks stunning but not a fan of the shiny bands on the renders either even thou it be in a case from day 1

The grey looks too much like every crushed velvet grey that appears in every Next catalogue for me.

Hypothetically speaking that they do make the UK eSim only, how do you go about sorting that?

I’ve never looked into eSims so forgive my complete lack of knowledge 😅

Would you need to wait to get your phone and then contact your provider and have to give them the details of your phone and then wait for them to activate it?

Just seems like a hassle, quite happy to just stay on the physical SIM card!

Be a little surprised if Apple are naming one of the Pros “Dark Blue”. Atlantic Blue ? Stormy Blue ? …

Apple release a phone without a SIM tray and the networks and MVNOs have to implement systems to issue eSIMs, or risk losing customers.

Ok so depending on the network depends how you receive them

EE - In the MyEE app
Vodafone - via website or Vodafone App
3 - depends on your plan and I think via website or app
O2 - from O2 shop or call customer service to send you a eSIM - if you can get one that isn’t activated then you can get it prior to the change over
LycaMobile - “purchase” a free eSIM on the website and perform a sim swap
SkyMobile - perform a sim swap and choose the sim type you want

When you have the QR code make sure that you are on WiFi. Scan the code and the SIM should activate. Depending on the network you may have to activate the sim then perform a simswap and enter a validation code from a text (this is how EE do it )

Will be interesting if any of the host networks open eSIM to PAYG it this does happen.

I am thinking more and more that this is actually going to happen.

Hmmm signed up and locked in a price with UR for 14PM 256gb at £832 but received no confirmation email or instructions to send back. Can’t seem to log onto my account and now see prices have dropped.

Luckily I did a screen grab of price and order number so hoping they honour it.

Regarding esims, I think they are brilliant.

Swapping from my 14 Pro to the SE was a doddle. When transferring data from one to the other it asked if I also wanted to transfer the sim. I clicked yes and in less than 5 mins it was active on the new phone.

Very slick!

I am assuming you are with EE then?
