Anyone using Smarty or i.D ? What are they like ?
Paying EE £26 pm at the moment, does include Apple Music but I get that half price anyway through my wife’s Unidays account.
EE is 200GB but I’ve never used much more than 30GB data in a month. Some really cheap deals through USwitch at the moment. For e.g. £8 for 40GB data with Smarty and includes Roaming (which my EE does). Don’t really want to lose Roaming.
After speaking with many different advisors (they all say different things, really annoying!) I, eventually, got EE to transfer my free european roaming onto my new contract. Their roaming does have a 50GB FUP but it’s better than other providers. I was initially told that they can’t transfer the free roaming but, as I was given it due to them messing up while I was abroad, I told them that it should transfer 😁

so you had an MM order saved as 'excellent' (the old scale) and you sent it in by post and they regraded it to 'good'?
Yup, exactly this .. there was a tiny scratch on the back (not viewable from 30cm which seems to be a new thing) and unable to feel it with finger nail or finger.

Yup .. I had mine locked in and on the new scale it only counted as ‘good’ so I got less. Couldn’t be bothered to get the thing sent back for me to send somewhere else so I just accepted it. Probably shouldn’t have but there we go. Of course the new ’good’ price they gave me was the ‘on the day’ price so it was significantly less as I’d been saving my basket for a month. Ho hum .. next time I think I’d maybe lock in both the best and the not so good price so at least I could fall back on it and it would be more than the ‘on the day’ price. Live and learn (maybe?!)
Do I gather from what you say that you sent your phone to them rather than using the SMARTDrop kiosk?

If that’s so then the rejection of a saved valuation is not just a SMARTDrop kiosk problem as someone suggested.

It’s looking like MusicMagpie are no longer to be trusted if they are not prepared to honour saved valuations.

ah Ok, they regraded as they saw some damage rather than just because the scales changed..

so hopefully with ones without issues, they should still honour the price

Wait are you saying it’s better to return the phone to Apple or to trade in with MM?
lol no. What I meant is you are better off buying on 0% then selling as you haven’t paid out the whole lot up front.

Off Topic: impressed with Wednesday this year - I’ve been a Saints fan for over 45 years (it’s aged me) and we were lucky to come away with 3 points on the first game of the season.

regarded due to a scratch it looks like... I'd like to think with an immaculate phone, they'll still honour.. only one way to find out

I'd also not look too badly on MM given we've all been exploiting the 14 day saved quotes for up to 9 months 😂

have a couple of backup quotes else where I say.. just in case

Apologies for asking as I’ve seen it on here before, what was the 10% voucher code for MM that’s worked on the iPhone 13’s?

This is a little confusing and concerning. MM seem to have moved the goalposts quite recently by changing their categories from “Good, Poor, or Faulty” to “Excellent, Good, or Poor”.

I locked in a valuation for my immaculate 14 Pro Max a few weeks ago when the appropriate category was”Good”. I fear that if I go ahead and send it to them they will pay me the current (significantly lower) price for their new “Good” category even though it is “Excellent”.

O2 are actually quite good at giving deals out. I normally just go to live chat and ask if they can give me a deal as a long standing customer. They are always happy to help.
The thing is, how does one do this if they want to upgrade in time before pre-orders run out? 🤔

I'd expect them to pay the price quoted if the phone is in the appropriate condition selected at time of order.

My phone is immaculate so I'd expect them to pay the 'excellent' quote.. I'll be sending off on Weds so will know soon enough!

Fair enough. Did you save under the old grading system or the new? What valuation did they give you if you don’t mind me asking?

My valuation was just a few weeks ago, not months so I don’t believe I was exploiting MM, merely availing myself of a facility that they offered.

old one.. have 2 saved.. one at 850 and another at 800...

if I add the 800 to the basket, and run through the checkout process, it shows I'll receive £800 but under in smaller letters says via Kiosk its £700...

I'll be posing in and hoping for the best!

I'm seeing account issues with sell.ur.co.uk too... added an order (selected using my own courier) but not had an emails with their labels that need attaching to the box.

their website seems a little broken as you can't click on the order details and some of the other buttons vanish... joy

Some one on here other day was asking about Apple Music offers. O2 Priority got an offer on and it is stackable as well if you have current active subscription.

This would be me, just had a look but can’t see any T&Cs, if it’s available to existing Apple Music subscribers great! New customers only, not so great.

I’d be able to take one of the o2 deals out that don’t come with Apple Music and then get this on priority id assume?
