Hmmm signed up and locked in a price with UR for 14PM 256gb at £832 but received no confirmation email or instructions to send back. Can’t seem to log onto my account and now see prices have dropped.

Luckily I did a screen grab of price and order number so hoping they honour it.
Did u check junk. Mine was in there.

I can’t get over how boring these colours are for the Pros. All just variations on grey
If the titanium grey is similar finish to the AW ultra then I might go with that, or black? So boring
I get this, also all rather quite catered to the male side? At least ladies had the gold as well as silver choice before but now that’s been axed. It’s quite disappointing actually. Back to silver with a nice case on it for me then.

I’ve had eSIM for a few years now and had no issues so far.

Just thinking out loud that it will probably be a bit of a pain if a phone gets damaged so that can’t boot.

At that point it would be nice to be able to log into the carrier app and just request a new eSIM, but I think currently if this happens it will require a visit to a store.

Transferring from a working phone to another has been smooth so far. I usually set up the new phone via quick start and keep my number on the old phone. Then move it over after everything else is copied over to the new phone.

Regarding esims, I think they are brilliant.

Swapping from my 14 Pro to the SE was a doddle. When transferring data from one to the other it asked if I also wanted to transfer the sim. I clicked yes and in less than 5 mins it was active on the new phone.

Very slick!
Sounds like you’re on EE.

I think EE are the only U.K. network to have a simple process in place.

So I’m an EE customer and recently a BT customer, does anyone know if there will be any offers I’ll be able to take advantage of when I upgrade next week? Noticed there’s a few deals when you get an iPhone 14 on just now if you’re a customer of both, but not sure if that will happen with the 15 Pro Max.

No one will now anything until next week, it will depend what deal Apple has with the networks. This won't be revealed until after the event, more information likely Friday when pre-orders open.

Do we have a clear idea of what is happening with MM? Are they reneging and going back on their commitment to saved valuations now?

Another thing… has anyone fallen foul of their new “Excellent” rating that has replaced the recently deceased “Good” rating.

I am still waiting for them to come back to me. I chased yesterday to find out why my price has been decreased and sill saying technical fault. I will be back on to them on Monday.

Basically it looks like anyone who locked in when it was Good, Poor and Faulty have got the new Good price from Excellent, Good and Poor.

This the exact potential issue that all non EE customers face.

If VF (for example) have a simple process now, whereby they can just email you a QR code/key that you can then use on your new phone to activate your tariff, then great.

If not, then it’s a trip to a physical store to get your physical SIM and get them to convert it to an eSIM, which frankly makes a mockery if the whole eSIM ”benefits”.

I managed to convert to eSIM online with Voda in the past, the only thing I needed was my line connected to receive a text to enter on the website to be able for them to issue the SIM, surely you can request a new eSIM in the app.

That is very underhand of them if that’s the case. Disingenuous behaviour from what I thought was a reputable company.

Let’s see.

Anyone using Smarty or i.D ? What are they like ?
Paying EE £26 pm at the moment, does include Apple Music but I get that half price anyway through my wife’s Unidays account.
EE is 200GB but I’ve never used much more than 30GB data in a month. Some really cheap deals through USwitch at the moment. For e.g. £8 for 40GB data with Smarty and includes Roaming (which my EE does). Don’t really want to lose Roaming.

Yeah, converting isn’t the issue.

It's replacing the eSIM in a dead iPhone.

Oh no, if this is the case as I also fall in this category I’ll have to look at private selling instead ☹

But that was just the kiosk price offered wasn’t it. Seems to still show correct price for post-ins

Figured that would be the case, just wasn’t sure if they’d offer anything with the new phones straight away, or they were just trying to shift old stock with the current deals they have on.

Yup .. I had mine locked in and on the new scale it only counted as ‘good’ so I got less. Couldn’t be bothered to get the thing sent back for me to send somewhere else so I just accepted it. Probably shouldn’t have but there we go. Of course the new ’good’ price they gave me was the ‘on the day’ price so it was significantly less as I’d been saving my basket for a month. Ho hum .. next time I think I’d maybe lock in both the best and the not so good price so at least I could fall back on it and it would be more than the ‘on the day’ price. Live and learn (maybe?!)

I’m with EE, how do they get around a problem like that?

They have QR codes via their app, but I think you need a code from a text message as part of the process, which if is broken cannot access. Hopefully there is a way round this. I just don’t know what it is.

so you had an MM order saved as 'excellent' (the old scale) and you sent it in by post and they regraded it to 'good'?
