The phone isn’t even hot

Have you got Applecare? At worst, you could get it changed for these "dark spots" in the camera and have a pristine phone to trade in.
I do. I got the battery replaced 4 days ago in preparation for trade-in and this nonsense ensues. Phone is practically flawless otherwise. So frustrating. The device passed full diagnostic tests at two different Apple stores - no issues with any aspect of the device.

Yeah that bs about dark spots around the camera and them having to replace the camera has put me off. Like others have said i'll stick with MM who hasn't let me down yet. I think I will replace the screen as i have a few scratches. Will cost £25 under my AC+
Those scratches could well be classed as cosmetic and not fall under AC+.

Not sure if iPhone 15 chat is forbidden in this thread or not - but how long does it usually take Sky Mobile to update their website and allow pre-orders/upgrades for the new devices?

Apple will open pre-orders most likely on Friday 15th - will Sky do the same?

How about Amazon UK?

Those that have used the kiosks before, what’s the actual setup like? Do you place your phone inside a box while they view it? I guess what I’m trying to ask is, is there any chance the phone could get damaged by moving parts inside the kiosk?
No the device is not moved, there are only cameras in there. There is no box, you place it on glass.

Last year I went for a graphite stainless steel because I didn’t like the colour of the ultra. If the ultra is black this year then that is a huge reason to upgrade. In my personal opinion of course 😍

Likewise getting the Hermes to be able to get the space black.

I’m not sold on an ultra yet but a space black one would be the option I went for if so. The series 8 will stay until which might be next year but I can image it being 2025 for their 10th anniversary ( like the iPhone x drop).

I’m sure it’s also like the transition to the pro max size for me.. will take a few years before I can come to terms for having chunky watch

That is also the thing I guess, if I get the ultra I would then probably want the series x watch next year and that would technically mean downgrading? Unless the ultra also gets a series x restyle.

There will be so many people who go back to a series “X” watch when it comes out. People will want the latest look and there’ll be a lot of “oh, the ultra was just too big” or “I hardly use any of the ultra features anyway”

I can’t see the ultra being remodelled for a long while yet given how long the current Apple Watches look.

The resale values of the watches if awful compared to iPhones… for example MM will give £200 for a graphite 45mm stainless steel which would cost £779 to buy right now! Yep I’d get more selling privately but the drop on a Hermes would be far greater too.

Watches are defo not for yearly turn over for me given the massive depreciation on them

The other thing is leaks from this far out often change or get delayed 2-3 years so do you wait based on leaks or just go for it.
