If you've ordered from Apple:

Apple statuses tend not to get updated realtime. I've had stuff delivered to me from Apple while it's still showing as 'Prepared for Shipment'. Just because your order still says one thing (e.g. processing), it doesn't necessarily mean it hasn't moved on to the next stage for anything up to 24hrs.

I'd expect status to keep changing to shipping throughout today. Lots of people's won't change till tonight and they won't get their despatch emails until around midnight or the early hours of the morning, but they'll still get delivery tomorrow.

Even though Synchreon (or whatever they're called) are showing as the courier on orders so far, the actual deliveries will probably be split between the big couriers to ease the load (don't know if this is just the main courier sub-contracting). I have had stuff showing as Synchreon before which has been delivered by DHL/UPS etc

Apple tend to be reliable, if their pre-orders are going to be delivered tomorrow (and it looks like they are), then unless they've told you of any delay, yours should be on the van. But then it comes down to the courier, sometimes on busy days they just run out of time. Sometimes they'll carry on delivering into the night, but in many cases this depends on the individual driver - some will just reach the end of their shift and go back to the depot never mind how many deliveries they've got left. However, even on a normal day most couriers deliver up till 6 or 7pm. Remember though that if you don't get a Friday delivery, don't expect it till Monday at the earliest!

Tomorrow will be even more frustrating than today - all morning this thread will be full of "Woooo! Mine just arrived" with no mention about whether it was an order from Apple, CPW, Orange etc or what colour/size and whether they ordered anything else. And it's no good asking because they'll have gone off to play with their new toy!

I don't know any of the above for a fact, just basing it on all my (and other's) previous Apple pre-order adventures.

I'm just going to go ahead and ignore all the good sense in this and say "DAMN YOU, APPLE?! GET TO SHIPPING MY PHONE!" :D

Cully im also NI and mine says delivery by the 17.10.2011. However, if you click on the tracking button it takes you into Syncreon's page which is showing anticipated delivery for the 14th!!

I agree with this logic ... no matter how much good advice and sense i read... inside im still FREAKING out that mine still saying preparing for shipment! haha:D

Even the phones that say shipped are probably still in the depot waiting for every other phone to be changed to shipped BEFORE they are picked up.

Which is why I just received confirmation for an October 14th delivery...

Black 16GB and White 16GB in one order, by the way.

Fingers crossed the courier is right then! will hopefully have some good news tomorrow!
 
I am going away for the weekend tomorrow, so if it doesn't arrive by lunchtime then it may as well be Monday.

It's actually quite a good position to be in really, as I am resigned to not being able to do anything with it until Monday, but if it was to turn up tomorrow morning then that will be a bonus.

Or maybe I'm just saying that to make myself feel better. :)

32GB whites gone AWOL! Sounds like we have landed on the one model that has gone into a black hole! TYPICAL! And I wasn't even that bothered about the colour, chose white so that it's be different to my wife's iP4.

I ordered min on day of pre order day at 840am through apple on the app store via my iPhone 4 it still say processing ships by 14th I suppose mine will be one of the many that has it's status changed later on tonight with pre ordering through this way.
 
If it helps, my 64gb iPhone4S has already been delivered to my local vodafone store and is there now, i can just walk in whenever i like tomorrow and get it ! happy days !

Well I ordered the black 16gb at 8:40 and still preparing for shipment. I also was one of the first that got their statuses changed yesterday night.
Anyway, I guess during the day the status will change to shipped ''hopefully''
 
Apple have >$70bn burning a hole in their pocket.

Suggestion: Use a courier of reputable name (Syncreon, who??), and get a website that live updates with real, accurate information.
 
4 cases, a dock and a pink leather pop up pouch all arrived at work today... all i need now is the iphone!

I also work for a company that print images onto iphone cases, so this week i'll mostly be doing 'research' and having my dog printed on a couple of cases :D haha

Exactly the very same for me but for the 32GB black instead.

Ordered around 8:40, right as the order page came online. One of the first to get the 'preparing for shipment' and no 'shipped yet'.

Good to know that atleast there is someone else like us. I'm optimistically hoping it gets shipped today :)

Well that will keep me happy until IP4S arrives..
