As someone said earlier, I don't think it matters when the order came in - mine was ordered around the same time (on the iPhone app as well). Currently mine states Preparing to Ship.

As someone said earlier, I don't think it matters when the order came in - mine was ordered around the same time (on the iPhone app as well). Currently mine states Preparing to Ship.
I don't mine hasnt even dispatched yet, one of the other guys said his was coming from cork?
Its strange watching the status change.
When everyone is on processing you're fairly happy, then other people are on prepared for shipping, but wait mines not!
Then when mine changes to prepared for shipping, I'm happy that its in line with others.
But now I want it to ship, because others have updated to that.
When mine does inevitably ship later today, then people will have theirs delivered and I will be desperate for mine to deliver!
That probably made no sense.

My invoice is from Apple Cork. That's why i am making an assumption that's where their warehouse is...
Queuing outside apple ASAP because I don't mind being up early buti don't want to be there all day , say of I started queuing at 7 or 8am

I ordered a white 32gb ip4s with dock.
I cant quite remember when i placed the order, was early Friday, 8:30-9AM or so. Got my email confirm about the order at 10:50pm
Anyway, i noticed till about 30mins ago mine had the standard 'Processing> Dispatched: Ships by October 14th' message.
Then about 20mins ago it changed to just 'Processing' with no hint about the delivery. Nearly cried....
Finally!! Just now its changed to preparing for shipment
My dock still says processing, but i imagine thats put in the box further down the line. Curiously, the dock says 'Delivers 10 Oct, 2011'
I have to say apple is rather confusing...delivered this and delivers that...all i know id i dont have anything yet lol
Anyway...keep up the hope...and pray that somehow we manage to get UPS or TNT deliver our things.

We were at the Apple Store for 7am for the iPhone 4 launch, and had units pre-ordered online. We were part of the short queue, but the queue for everyone else was already massive. The lack of any pre-orders makes me worry about tomorrow and the state of play.

Exactly the very same for me but for the 32GB black instead.
Ordered around 8:40, right as the order page came online. One of the first to get the 'preparing for shipment' and no 'shipped yet'.
Good to know that atleast there is someone else like us. I'm optimistically hoping it gets shipped today

Well. I upgraded in-store last year, and I obviously know people through work, so, yeah, they do.
Ah that makes sense. Yours will be shipped from England too, it's normal for invoices to have the Cork address on them, they seem to use that address for anything official I've found.

This is so bizarre, me and my brother both ordered White 32Gb 4S's at the same time 8:45am from separate accounts with delivery to the same address and his has been dispatched and mine is still preparing!*
