UK iPhone 4S thread.

I was with UK Mail and I live in the very north of Scotland and received my 4S at 11am this morning. My Dad's 4S shipped with UPS (even though we ordered at the exact same time with the same delivery address) and he won't get his until Monday now. So UK Mail actually were VERY good, in my case.
 
TNT really don't try hard enough. I've been home all day and they claim they attempted delivery. :rolleyes: We even have a concierge so it's a huge load of crap that they couldn't deliver. They're supposed to "re-attempt" again today. Lets see if they actually make an effort this time.

A second one is coming from UKmail - nothing yet.

Im in Co. Armagh btw so Northern Ireland hasnt been forgotten about after all

just have to wait an hour till i get home to play with it

Not in mine. Arrived Glasgow Depot 8.17am. Still nothing and I live about 2 miles from UK Mail's Glasgow depot. Really p*ssed off!!

Phone them and find out what's going on? They deliver until 7pm so there's a good chance yours is still on it's way.

Unfortunately all NI UPS customers have been shafted....has anyone contacted Intercity to see if the batch has arrived but not been scanned?

Just called Croydon depot of TNT, they assure me its "out for delivery" and expect it before 6pm.

<sigh>

Seems to work much better for americans. Reading through some of the things they say to siri (nothing to do with location services) if i say the same, it just tells me it has no idea what it's on about :rolleyes:

It's more accurate than other voice recognition systems i've tried, but not as accurate as it seems to be for Americans judging by their comments. It usually gets a word wrong atleast every one or two texts i send :(
 
Called up UK mail, they claim they have tried delivery and I was out.

I told them I had no card and when they asked me to confirm my address I said 26.... Turns out they delivered to a 26A (which doesn't exist) at 4pm.

Then asked them to rearrange delivery to me, or tell me how to collect from the depot turns out they can't do that as Apple won't let them.

What the hell do I say to Apple, my address is correct on all the emails I've received from them and as far as they are concerned it should be delivered to 26.

Most of the time when I try to activate Siri by moving the phone to my ear it doesn't work

Looks indeed that Apple have slipped up. Sent out the deliveries Standard Service that takes 2 days to transit Irish Sea, and UPS took them at their word. Standard service probably works fine on the mainland but nobody thought to uprate anything for Highlands and Islands

I hope I get the 'How did we do' email from the Apple Store soon as I intend to be brutally frank about their logistics
 
UKmail came through! :D

For those on edge, I asked and they've still got plenty of packages just like mine to be delivered tonight in the london docklands.

Another thing I've noticed is that the Internet is a lot faster on the 4S.

I'm using a giffgaff sim through O2 network
 
I would assume all stores in London now would have sold out? If they have do they do like a waiting list sort of thing? Want to wait a few weeks (mainly due to the Nexus Prime) and then get one but would prefer getting one on the day I decide to get one rather than having to wait a few weeks when ordering online.
