Wow all this talk of failed attempts and multiple orders i hot mines first time and that was even having to log out an account and change username went through first time no problem got my confirmation about 30 mins later too pretty glad it went straight forward :)

Well, the transaction in my browser hanged on processing so I sent it through iPhone app. Both went through and I can't cancel either :/

Oh, and Lloyds TSB did the dirty.... blocked my card. I had to call to clear the transactions.

I had a processing order error on my first on, tried again and now have had emails confirming both of them!

I am trying to cancel one of them right now.

Similar situation for me lol

I just hope the Nectar points tracked, shame there's no quidco cash back on the 4S.

Finally...! I got through the ordering process and got an order number in the 'Thank You' page. Now I have to double check the order history to make sure I haven't ordered multiply. But the site keep gives me an Oops error.

I haven't got an email confirmation yet, but I guess it will come soon.

Thanks for the help. :D
You will have multiple orders if you have many failed attempts. I have :(

Can't get through to call anybody either

You'll probably have to wait till your order goes on to the next stage in processing (can't remember what its called) before you can cancel it.

O2 - you what!!!??

Guys, I've just called O2 and have been told that they are not going to do pre-orders until 2 days before the official launch of the iPhone 4S - so that's the 12th October!!

Finally!!! Just got my order thro' checkout-1 hour 40 minutes after my first call at 8.00am. So frustrating-last time I upgraded through O2 it was so much easier & the iPhone4 arrived on the morning of release. Just hope Apple can do the same. 32 GB White-white for the 1st time.

WTF?!...Feck that, im moving to another provider then!.

I called O2 about my phone & data usage to work out the best deal & the upgrade bloke put me on their Simplicity tariff-about 1/2 what I was paying so free to order direct from Apple. I was within 3 months of that contract ending though. For me that's a good deal!

Just buy it unlocked from Apple..:apple:

Ordered black 64GB at 08:53, received confirmation email 09:51.
At least we'll have iOS5 to play with until the 'phone arrives.

I know, I was shocked. I'm currently on Nothing Nowhere and wanna escape so was going to defect to O2 as I know they do visual voicemail (just looks nice) but I think I'm going to try Voda myself - 12 month contract looks nice

vodafone give you £59 back in november for pre-ordering a contract phone with them.... post the best deals you have seen so far....

Just been doing some calculations.

12 month contract on Vodafone - £36 a month + £319 to buy the phone = £751

Monthly rolling simplicity tarrif on O2 - £21.50 a month + £500 - £758

12 month simplicity tarrif on O2 - £16.50 a month + £500 - £700

Looking at that... I think ill buy the phone on the day and get an O2 simplicity tarrif :)

Im assuming of course the £500 for a 16g 4S is an unlocked phone which you can put any sim card in.

Looks like we're the luck few who have ordered, and had confirmation.

Look at the other threads about being unable to currently order..

or, buy unlocked from Apple £499 + a giffgaff £10 a month tariff equals £620
( unlimited data, unlimited texts, 200 mins )
then sell phone for approx £300 = £320

Managed to cancel 1x of the 3x order i placed so far. Im keen to keep the only one i have received the order confirmation for. However, i dont have the option to cancel the earliest order yet (which i didnt receive the confirmation for).

Its so painful, takes 10 attempts to refresh the order history page.

cricket, I'm glad i checked order status - my request was for 2x32G 4S's - they were going to send 6. I couldn't cancel on line so eventually got through via the phone.
I asked like most would, does the 14th mean delivered or shipped, she said shipped but, the UK is shipping from the UK so most likely same day - I hope

not really cost effective - its 199 from voda on a 12 month paying £46 monthly = £751
it costs £499 from apple, that means I would need to find a sim only deal for £21 monthly over 12 months.

actually, I stand pretty much corrected lol. O2 do a Sim Only deal for iPhone at 21.50 monthly and gives 600mins and unlimited texts with 500mb monthly - its 25.50 monthly if have 1Gb

decisions decisions

I ordered mine at 8:45ish. Got confirmation email at 9:20. (64GB, Black).

Anybody know when they are getting delivered?
