Thats not the real giffgaff company. Thats someone who has a stash of sim cards and is cutting them into shape for you and sending them out.

When you activate one of those sim cards, you do get £5 credit, but he also makes £5 too. I suppose it doesnt hurt, but that website is technically making someone money. Im not sure of the rules on this forum with self promotion. I know that person who posted the link might not be that person, but he could be making money from it.

I sort of agree but to be fair when you've got 20 voicemails, VV makes it sooo much easier to work with them than all that "press 6 to move to the next message, press 5 to listen, press 2 to delete, press 9 for envelope details" etc.
 
Can't decide what to do! Do I order now or wait to play around with the Nexus Prime first! Just deciding whether if I order this my girlfriend would take this just incase I get the Nexus Prime for myself afterwards!

Hmmm... so I see. Even if it's all legit, I still get the nasty feeling I've been conned as that web site is clearly made to look like the official one. :mad:
 
Phew!

Glad I got in early this morn as I managed to get the orders placed as soon as it went live at 8:40am (weird time I think!) and now have a 16GB White 4S and 32GB White 4S marked as dispatched for 14th! whoo!

Especially now they have bumped the delivery time to 1-2 weeks for all models of 4S (http://ow.ly/6QfpL)!
 
Still waiting for O2 here it's like waiting for Xmas! Suspect they are waiting for everyone else's pricing prior to launching their own :(

Email Confirmation

Pre ordered at 9:30. No confirmation email yet. What is everyone else's experience?
 
Just Ordered

Just pre-ordered 2 iPhone 4S's from the Apple Store. 1 x 32GB Black and 1 x 32GB White.

This will be upgrades to my wife's iPhone 3G and my iPhone 3GS.
 
Just been to the O2 shop in Glasgow. As far as the guy in the shop knows they are not releasing any info today but that could change.

He also said that O2 will be allowing the early upgrade pricing like they did last year.

Heres hoping they post something soon!
 
Order placed around 09:30, and received a confirmation email at 11:30.
They still didn't take my money yet though. :D

Black (16GB) for me, and white (16GB) for my wife. We are in heaven!

I ordered 10:30, no email, but after about 45mins and managing to get throught to my account history 3 times during that period, it finally showed up as order placed and "Ships by 14th" #. I notice on the US store it said "Delivered on the 14th" but here it is "Ships by 14th", is this the same for people that ordered straight away ?

I would judge that ships by means we may not get it till a few days after release.
 
Confirmation Email

Just got the confirmation email. 2 hours after the order!!

Anyone on Orange ip4 3G in N W London this morning and dead 3G. They're trying to tell me it's the handset but I know what their lousy 3G service is like and it's completely dead, last night and this morning. Is anyone else having a problem?

I wouldn't say you've been conned. You are getting what you asked for. I'm pretty sure the official GiffGaff site know about this website.

Oh Ok, I tend to use my credit card for large purchases and then just move the money from another account and pay it off, at least then I can hold on to the money until it actually comes off. Thanks for that.

No you're right, conned probably isn't the right word - I just don't like the feeling that I was tricked into believing that was the official giffgaff site.
 
iPhone 4S 16gb black ordered at 9.30am, confirmation e-mail just came through now.

Also ordered a bumper case, applecare and a new dock.

How odd.

Ordered as soon as the store went live this morning at 8:40

Order went through straight away. Had One-Click activated, so only took 20 seconds to place the order.

However, no confirmation e-mail yet, and nothing has come off my credit card. No pre-authorisation. Balance is the same, available credit is the same.

But my order is there on my account on the Apple site, and still says Dispatched: Ships by October 14th"

Hope everything is OK :cool:
