I have one question...has anyone preordered an iPhone 4s with a CREDIT (not debit) card and got charged the whole amount? I have received an confirmation mail from apple and also they charged me with 1 pound but that's it...

They check to see if you have the money in your account but it doesnt show for a while so you'll be charged the full amount later on near when the phone arriving. £1 charge is the amount charged for using a credit card I think!

They didn't offer me anything. They asked why i was leaving, which I told them quite clearly. And she asked whether I wanted to wait this week to see if they do any offers like last year. Even if I did, it wouldn't cost me any less so what's the point. Handed my notice in.....contract expires now on 7 November and I'll get my cancellation fee of £55 through about 14 days later. In the meantime, I ordered my iPhone 4s through the Carphone Warehouse with orange and Its due for delivery on Friday.

She asked me the same, she didnt know about these new rules so put me onto someone else, he didnt no either but then went and asked and confirmed the only way i was getting the phone on friday is through another carrier !! so i cancelled my contract . just signed up with vodafone and should be delivered to my door on friday. I will know by thursday if it wont be , then i will cancel the order and queue at apple.

BYE O2 !!!!

It hasn't been dispatched, the key bit being the : at the end of dispatched.

Dispatched: 14th October means it will be dispatched by 14th october

30 days? I ordered with Orange but through the Carphone warehouse. I know they have separate stock, it doesn't all come from Orange, this was what I got sent to me:

Great news! Your order for the brilliant new Apple iPhone 4S has been
confirmed and successfully processed.
If a one off payment is required as part of your deal, please note that
this has been taken from your account to secure your order.

What happens next?

We aim to dispatch your order for delivery on Friday 14th October 2011.

So no idea whether that means they are dispatching it on 14th or whether it will be delivered on the 14th. What does everyone else think that means?

Why is all of the hate being directed to O2? I think that they're a great mobile carrier, their tariffs are competitive and have very reliable customer service. I've never had any problems with them whatsoever.

Because people feel they have been on the wrong end of this stupid ' overnight company decision'. I mean take for example you didn't want the iPhone, you wanted a Samsung. On Friday you could get out of your contact for £40 but on Saturday it was going to cost you £110 for no utter reason. Why withdraw the offer? O2 might be a good carrier whilst your with them and the customer service is top notch but the way they handle these iPhone launches is embarrassing. You'd never think they were the biggest uk carrier by looking at how they handle these launches.

Its quite clear, i'm not sure how you are confused. They aim to dispatch your phone in time, so that it will be delivered on the 14th October. They don't say they will dispatch it on 14th October.

Not this year, has to be delivered if you order online.

Cheers. I read it as they are dispatching on 14th but I see Your point.

Anyone know from experiance what time i should get to the store to be in with a good chance of a 4S? any help is greatly appreciated folks :)

Seems like some of the US orders are getting their orders updated to shipping?

Anyone else left the realms of processing yet?

Definitely agree with that part, I was shocked to see that they aren't doing pre-orders this time around! I'm gonna have to make my way to an O2 shop before work...

O2

Not sure really. Am surprised that no one is mentioning the fact that they seem to be the only network to be offering a 12 (for existing customers) and 18 month contract option. I for one do not want to get locked into a 24 month contract.

It would really make my day if they do a cheaper early upgrade fee - at the moment my fee for fast track upgrade is showing at £91.92. But i guess I can live with that.

Have also set up online to trade in my iP4 32gb for £282 with O2 recycle. Seemed a reasonable price compared to what they are currently selling for on ebay by the time you factor in ebay and paypal fees.

I appreciate people are unhappy at lack of preordering but I do feel like in other regards they are looking after me as an existing customer - I may change my view on that if I don't get a white 64gb on Friday though!

And they do proper visual voicemail - I don't like the app versions.

Roll on Friday - thank goodness I had day booked off anyway:D

Thanks! It says Dispatched: 1-2 weeks will that be genuinely dispatched in 1-2 weeks or are they still going to deliver by 14th? Because my cousin's picking up my phone and they're leaving on the 15th so does that mean it'll only arrive 1-2 weeks after the 14th? :(

They put a temporary hold on the full amount with debit cards and £1 with credit cards. That's because debit and credit cards work differently.

Tesco

I don't know if that has already been mentioned but Tesco have opened pre-registration - they'll text you when you can order, but no word on pricing.

I know this was mentioned earlier in the thread but I just wanted to ask a question about t-mobiles iPhone micro sim, £15 including £10 top up giving you :

"Choose 100 free UK minutes, unlimited free texts or 60 free international minutes"

And unlimited internet for 12 months.

My question is : Once the month is up is your £10 still available ? just that you have no texts left (if i picked unlimited texts) OR Is the £10 gone and you need to top up again to get anything (except web obviously)

Just an update my order has now been tracked on Quidco but i was greeted with a slight surprise. It has tracked £149.98. It should be £109? Either way it has worked perfectly, now the wait for it to be confirmed :I If it is confirmed, which it should be as it has been recognised by Quidco and 3 i will only have payed £40 for a 32gb White iPhone 4s. Even if it only accepts £109 it is still a great deal. And for those wondering its not a sim free price, its on "The One Plan" 24 month contract.

Same here (tracking at 149..), what happens is it tracks at that price and then gets reduced when it's confirmed.

Looks like im on the only one here on T-Mobile

got a white 32gb sim free from apple and a sim only deal

£12pm 600mins, unlimited data & text with 120mins international calls and tethering.

to get the best deals when renewing ALWAYS ring the cancellations dept than the upgrade dept, cancellations dept get bonuses to retain customers upgrade dept dont tend to give a ****

Surprised O2 aren't offering online ordering for existing customers to upgrade to the 4S. If they think I'm going to hang around on a wet and windy street corner they have another thing coming. Tried telephoning them yesterday and after 20 mins queue gave up.

Glad I ordered a black and white 4S on Friday now direct with Apple. Ordered the black in the morning. Due for delivery on 14th. Ordered white in afternoon. Due for despatch 1-2 weeks. 14th just happens to be my birthday though!

Cashinmyfone offering £280 for iPhone 4 16GB and an extra tenner for the 32GB if anyone interested. Makes the £499 cost more bearable. Plus I'm on £9 a month SIM only with T-Mobile - 300 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited data. Large saving over 18 month contract. The gf is contracted to O2 until December but will then switch her to SIM only too.

I checked 'cashinmyfone' and they're actually envirofone!!! ... I have an envelope waiting to pop my iPhone 4 into from them but I've gone with cashinmyfone now as they offer £14 more lol .. have used envirofone before and it was all very painless and quick :)

More than 2 iphones per customer ?

Has anyone tried to order more than two per the same card? I mean let's say 2 on one iTunes acc , and then on other itunes account with same visa another two or one ?
