Hey everybody,

Gonna stand in line at apple store covent garden, london about 4 AM launch day and i have 2 questions...

1: can i buy 2 Iphones? (one for me and one for my brother in law)

2: is it possible to get one Iphone on a normal bill and the other on a invoice?

Tnx.

Don't think 2x iPhones will be a problem but I don't think you can put 1x on an invoice. Best to give the store a call before it gets busy just to check.

Swapping carriers would have been my suggestion. Are you sure they are the only ones though? You can find if any other masts are close by at: http://www.sitefinder.ofcom.org.uk/search

Thanks for that site! its really helpful actually.

Orange is really poor in my house which is odd considering where the mast is.

For those on O2 who upgraded to the iPhone 4 on launch day last year and whose 18 month contracts are due to expire in December - have you heard that O2 are currently saying you are unable to upgrade early and have to wait until you are eligible for an upgrade (which would be November for Silver customers)?

If anyone has any update on this, it would be great if you could post it here.

He had a very bad customer service.
Because everone on earth is allowing people to Pre-Order except for o2!?

It might be an idea to contact their HQ customer service dept. Its not the sales guy's fault if they're not taking pre-orders but if you think the guy was arrogant and not giving a good level of customer service then there might be training issues that HQ might be able to address. You never know, you might get a voucher or some-kind for your efforts.

They are only allowing fast track upgrades for people on £40+ plans!

They got robbed? really? not much security overnight then?

It was a smash-and-grab, not much security can do to stop that short of installing steel blinds. Apparently the police pursued the robbers who were on mopeds but lost them, finding one moped later and arresting two people but still looking for others.

Wow! At the same magnification I can only see a single O2 mast and I'm on Orange. I can see a T-Mobile mast out of my office window (I work from home) but it's on the other side of a farm and I get zero signal from it.

It was a smash and grab. I wouldn't have thought there were any iPhone 4Ss on display. :D

Bet they didn't take those oversized iPad-looking displays that they sometimes have at their windows. Woulda been funny seeing them trying to escape with those on their mopeds.

Ordered mine for collection on Friday. Gone for 64GB in white with 20% employee discount!! :)

Moving from O2 to Voda as O2 signal has gone downhill hugely in my area in the last 6 months or so.

How have you 'ordered for collection' if you don't mind me asking ??

Signal is pretty good generally on vodafone....it is only bad when i'm at work but maybe thats just in general.

Yeah, that's what o2 are doing....only fast track upgrades for people who are paying £40 or over....ridicolous. It's why I terminated my contract on Saturday ( comes into effect on 7 November) and ordered iPhone 4s with Orange through the Carphone Warehouse. Bit of a shame really after being with O2 for 5 years. Oh well.

If any of you are thinking about moving to Orange and are based in North West London, think about it. Mast down, no time given for fixing, have had no 3G for over a week and no plans to repair after being a customer for over 15 years. Rock on Orange
