My sympathy is with all those who are ordering stuff from china, unless a chinese product is branded and is in your market and you check it yourself in your hand, do not order one. You never know what will you get when you try your hands on it. So be very careful about this.
This is my friendly suggestion. I ve been victim of chinese brands several times so be careful about it.
Interesting that some phones are being delivered despite iO5 not landing until today.

I can't see why everyone is bickering about where the phones are coming from.
From a logistical point of view, it makes zero sense for any company to ship something big like this for a launch from one location, using only one carrier.
Ship some from China direct to customer, ship some from a regional distribution centre. Then if there's an issue with one delivery channel then at least some phones make it, as opposed to no phones being delivered.
I wouldn't say that people are bickering.
The reason why it is relevant is that if they are coming from China and they haven't left yet, they won't be here for Friday.
Luckily, it looks like they are shipping from the UK, so there is no problem.
Couldn't think of a better word...![]()
OK, by do you see why it is an issue. It's nothing to do with Apples logistics, people are just wondering whether they will be getting their phones.
It has everything to do with logistics.
....Friday btw.
How could they add a gift message if its straight from china?
It's probably easier if you just read the thread before commenting.
I know it's Friday, but some people on here are concerned. But you'd know that if you'd read the thread.
This.
If it was on its way directly from China, It would have shipped by now.
The option to add a gift message probably means a particular device has been assigned to our orders. The people who ordered late probably dont have that option yet.
So the device and the delivery note/gift message are ready to be printed off and packaged together.
How do you figure that ? Apple never promised to deliver the phones by the 14th.
Over 2000 posts? Its alot easier to comment before reading the whole thread.

Reading this thread is getting a task now, guys, the iPhones shipped from china with no individual shipping label on them, they will be at cork in ireland as thats apples HQ for this area, thats where individual shipping labels will be applied and then from there they will be sent to different courier distribution bases in the country.
Exactly this ^^^
I can't remember which phone it was but it was the same situation at launch, no UK orders had shipped right up until the day before launch and they were all sat in a Cork warehouse and therefore next-day delivery is easy.
I don't believe they're in China at this point, they're in the EU somewhere
