Finally pre-ordered my iPhone 5. :D

Walked into Carphone Warehouse in Loughborough, asked if they had any launch day stock left, sorted out my upgrade on O2, signed a new contract (from now on I think 24mo contracts will be the norm :( ) and the bloke guaranteed me a launch day iPhone which I could pick up from the store.

Why did I ever bother trying to go direct with O2?!

Hm.

Lets get everyone to post their production dates - lets see who's got the earliest? i'm week 32.

You guys appear to have broken Three's website!

Any time I try to buy a sim (not a phone) or anything else I get

Thanks for choosing Three.

Because iPhone 5 is so popular we're experiencing some issues
taking pre-orders online.

We hope to be back up and running soon so please try again later.

They were doing so well till this, their handling of this launch persuaded me to go over to them (or I will try to when the site is working again), that and their cheap all you can eat plans.

Ring them, i spent ages trying online on friday, then decided to pick the phone up..... 10 minutes later i was all sorted

That's good news although I'm very likely to change to Everything Everywhere through T-Mobile as I'm not keen on staying with O2 moving forward. EE/T-Mobile offer a better plan with more included for less plus there is the option of 4G to look forward too. The only thing I will miss from O2 is visual voicemail but I think I can live without that.

You'll be glad to know that Visual Voicemail is coming to T-mobile/Orange/EE.

I was awake and at the computer at 8am on Friday morning but forgot until about 9:30 :(

My delivery date is showing as 1st October which is a bit fail, I have ordered a nano sim from Vodafone which should be here this week as well nano sim to both micro sim and sim adaptors and an Otterbox Defender case so I am all set. I might try the Apple store on Saturday morning but there is no way I am queueing.

I'm still struggling to get my PAC code from O2.

I phone and when I select the looking to cancel option I get told they are too busy to deal with my request and phone back later. When I do phone back later I get put on hold (2 hours and gave up).

Their website chat person yesterday said I couldn't get the PAC code from them yet I'm reading some people have.

So who's getting up early on Friday morning? I'll be going to the Apple Store in Glasgow, what time is best to get there to guarantee an iPhone? :D

The night before if the launch of the 4 was anything to go by.

I called on friday to get my PAC code.
Waited 40 mins to speak to customer services who provided the code within 2 minutes.
