Spare iPhone 5 on 21st

I ordered two black 16gb's for delivery on the 21st, but it turns out I don't need the second one. How much you think they will be going for on the ebays of this world?

Three must be raking it in. Very organised in this launch and offering tempting deals all round .

I'm actually glad i live in the UK where we have multiple carrier options. Imagine O2 and Vodafone were the only real choice (a la Verizon and AT&T) for an iPhone 5...

*shudders*

It's actually three major carriers in the US as there is Sprint also. That said we do have a lot more freedom and flexibility when choosing networks and plans here. We also get to buy unlocked SIM free phones at launch whilst they have to wait a few months.

In this day and age of GPS tracking, I can't see why they can't give you a much more accurate delivery time, or at least let you track the vehicle your order is on.
But then all criminals would need to do is order one iPhone, and they'd be able to follow and intercept a van carrying 500 of them!

lol...i keep forgetting about Sprint.

Possibly, but only if they knew the tracking number for your order. Lets face it though, on launch day, pretty much any delivery truck is going to have a load of phones on it

They must put a tonne of extra staff/drivers on for the release day to handle a massive increase in parcels, presumably a significant amount of iPhones must be going through in a short space of time. Makes you wonder how they will deliver them all and guarantee the release day.

Well I've decided to wait until EE launch before I buy, since it is not certain that they will offer sim only plans at launch (and I remember reading an interview where a representative says as much).

Also, I dont want to tie myself into a contract with t-mobile without knowing how much extra they will charge for the equivalent EE plan or what less features I will get for the same money. If the plans are not on a par with what t-mobile offer now, I'll probably end up sticking with Three.

Anyone else in the same boat? I really don't see why EE haven't released their prices yet; its sneaky to tie people down to Orange/ t-mobile contracts with the promise of nothing more than an "easy" migration to EE

Ordered my iPhone 5 at 10:30am friday via oranges website.

I got a confirmation email the same day with an order number which ive tracked and oranges website says, order being readied for dispatch.

Can anyone clarify what this means? Will i get my phone friday?

Almost 6 minutes to go and already at £640 on Ebay.co.uk here the link....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PRE-ORDER...bile_Phones&hash=item3a79a43443#ht_802wt_1398

The only winner here is eBay. I sold 4S for £395, eBay too £45 and PayPal £15 plus £7 postage and packing.

£640 after fees and postage will be around £550, I would rather just get money back from Apple and save the hassle.

The buyer could have saved theirselves £20 and paid someone £100 to queue up for him :D

I pre-ordered the 32GB Black today and my order says processing with a delivery of 2-3 weeks.
What are my chances of getting it before that?
Would I be better to queue on Friday and then cancel my on-line order?

It means what it says. How do we know if you will get it for Friday?

A bit like priority moments on O2 where they gave all their customers 2 free pies and 2 free cans of lager :D

Ordered mine through CPW on Friday, did the £29 deposit and they called me and I changed network from o2 (been with them for 10 plus years), to T-Mobile. Needed the unlimited Data.

Major concern is i ordered my 4s and my 3G from CPW and both times things have gone wrong. Last year Yodel managed to send my 4s to Surrey instead of Suffolk, so I didn't get it until the Monday. If it happens this time I may explode.

They still use Yodel apparently.........

Have they taken the money for the phone or sent you any sort of email/text confirmation yet?

Has anyone else pre-ordered through CPW over the phone and received any form of communication from them afterwards?

I ordered over the phone today and haven't received any confirmation e-mail or texts which isn't very reassuring.

I've pre-ordered through CPW over the phone. I have been told over the phone that my order has been processed fine, the contract has been set up and i have passed the credit check, but i am yet to get any confirmation in writing.

All I had was a text to say they couldn't get hold of me, although, they did and I was told it would definitely be with me Friday. Nothing else from them.

Supposedly they should text you a tracking number once dispatched, Fingers crossed.......

I also got a text saying that they had tried to contact me to finalise my pre-order and sort the contract out after it had already been done.

I'm also getting my phone sent to the local shop instead of my home address. I hope they still deliver it to the shop on Friday and let me know what time I can pick it up.

Has anyone who is on O2, ordered/upgraded via Carphonewarehouse had their contract/tarriff changed on their myO2 on o2.co.uk yet?

The upfront handset cost though CPW is showing on my credit card transactions (good) and the CPW phone operative said my O2 contract had been upgraded from Simplicity to 24 month £36pm - just that O2's site is still showing I'm eligible for upgrade.

I pre-orderd through CPW and my new contract is not yet on my o2 account.

Ordered Friday, Confirmation email at 8.29am. Order is still processing, funds are on hold from my credit card. Anyone else in this position?

I think your chances of getting it before then are very slim to be honest.

You will probably receive around 10 days after launch. Depends if you can wait that long. Would save you from the launch day queues
