Has anyone had anything other than a single Order Confirmation email from 3?

I got burnt last year with Vodafone screwing up my order. I don't wanna end up queuing outside meadowhall in a t shirt again :p

Don't worry, Me and my OH have had nothing either since ordering on Friday.

So I have been on TMobile on pay as you go since June waiting for the new phone to come out. I preordered my phone as a new customer with TMobile at 8am on Friday and just called up to make sure that I could move across my balance and number. The lady on the phone said that my phone was due to be with me on Friday or Monday at the latest, but couldn't give me any tracking information but activated my new contract and moved over my number so I am all ready to go when the phone lands.

Here's hoping.

this sounds promising. perhaps t-mobile actually might have their **** together. it's a shame they wont provide any specific delivery estimates to customers besides the "within 30 days" estimates they've been telling everyone.

I'm in exactly the same boat as you. PAC code already requested from GG & looking forward to a day of filing & cutting on Friday :)

Yeah, I mean, what's the worst that could happen?!

A: Sim doesn't work and gets jammed inside thus voiding warranty & bricking £600 telephone.

Oh, yes, that. I suppose that is quite bad

Thanks Matt :) I just got through to someone better at three, and this time they took the ref number and confirmed I was through credit check etc, payment done, 'awaiting handset'. Woop.

I know :( makes me sad because I upgraded and couldn't go this route. I didn't bother to cancel and reorder, 9:16 am when the page was up on upgrade I flew ahead :p I think I was one of the first people since it was up before new lines and I was determined to get it as soon as it poped up on upgrades. (I know, OCD much :p).

How was the queues outside Meadowhall (past launches), Apple Store? Did they actually let you queue up outside since its quite a busy lane since it leads to Oasis. I've never been there to see the queues for product launches, I was there on Saturday to find out some information on MacBooks. :p

I've been to a few. I think for the 3GS, I queued with my gf of the time. That was before apple got wise, and I made a genius appointment for launch day at 8 - so we were 1st/2nd into the store. Ex's face was a picture as we got clapped into the store!!

iphone 4 was fairly small I seem to remember anyway... can't really remember much about it.

Last year, vodafone screwed up my order and I only found out at about 7pm the night before. So I dashed to meadowhall for about 8:15, forgot my coat and it was frickin freezing! Queue was from the store, along the main walkway, out a fire escape, across the car park and basically all the way to the Boots entrance :( Not fun, and not really much banter either - just a queue of bored people. Although Phones 4U nobs getting booed while trying to get people to leave the apple store queue was quite funny.

I've seen earlier in the thread that people have managed to get a nano sim-micro sim converter from O2 and Vodafone stores. Can anyone confirm how easy it was to get them (ie do most stores have them by now).

Are they £5 to buy, or do you get them with the nano sim? I'm probably going to order a 3 Nano-sim rolling, but I will need it in my old iPhone 4 for a day or 2. I assume 3 wont give a free adapter!

3 Network Info

Called in @ 3 in Peterborough on Saturday:

They offered me a nano-sim converter for free but said they only had enough nano-sims for those who'd sign a contract there. I had agreed a PAYG deal on the phone with 3 earlier-have to wait for the nano-sim to be posted.

Wanted to check 3 coverage @ home so bought a data micro-sim to try in my iPad. Wandered round & found best inside was 1-2 bars, outside was 3.

Bottom line is bad news re 3-downloaded free 'Coverage' app & found 3 was bad to poor, whereas O2 is poor to good. Coverage is a great app.

So need to stick with O2 Simplicity-better deal with 3 BUT ....

I'm in the opposite position, my homes O2 signal is poor, 3 seems excellent.

I also bought a micro sim for testing, and running one after another, my 3 sim got a download of 6 MBs and my O2 sim only 0.8!

mine is week 3.

Stuck in preparing for shipment since Friday. Delivers 9/21

How do you find out the serial / week number? All I have is this......

I walked into our 3 store yesterday and asked for one. Woman handed them over no problems. I did tell her that I've ordered 2 nano-sims and am awaiting delivery (Hopefully they'll be here tomorrow). So you could just go in with the same story even if you haven't ordered a 3 nano sim?

I think signal strength is weird-according to 3's strength map I can stand in the field up the road & the signal is fine.

Just got a call from my Stamford O2 shop-they have the nano-sims in stock BUT can't give them out until Friday because they can't process them!!! Pointed out that they CAN'T be processed until Friday anyway 'cos nobody will have an iPhone 5 until then!

I wonder whether there is anyone at O2 with the intelligence to manage what should be so simple? Grrrr

So they cant supply nano-micro sim adapters and have the sims activated before Friday thus saving no doubts a lot of time in waiting for them to be activated with the other thousands of sims?

Does anyone know whether a PAC code is SIM specific?

Here's my situation. I'm currently with O2 and have pre-ordered sim-free from Apple.

I will be starting a 12-month sim-only contract with Orange.

Orange have told me that I won't get a nano sim until at least friday, maybe after, so I haven't signed up to the deal yet.

However, I've requested my PAC code from O2 since it's valid for 30 days - the thinking is that I can get a nano sim from O2 to tide me over for a couple of days after launch until Orange nano-sims are widely available [and available to select through the website = Quidco].

So, my question; if I get a nano sim from O2 this afternoon/week, will I need a different PAC code to transfer to Orange?

Got all het up with excitement. Just recieved an Apple 'Your order has Shipped email' !!!

Turns out it was the 'Lightning to Micro-USB Adapter' not the phone.

I read your post too but didn't think it would be that easy :p

Great news though! I'll pay a vist tomorrow once I've ordered the sim

The PAC is specific to your account, but you may find if you activate a new SIM on it, that effectively cancels your request as O2 may believe that you wish to continue your contract.

Awesome! Thanks :)
