Wow.. o2 are completely useless..

Sheldon: Hi I'm Sheldon. How can I help?
Kostas: Hi i have been told by customer services over the phone and by 2 customer services people on online chat that o2 stores will have nano-sims as of today. Is this correct?
Sheldon: Let me check.
Sheldon: As of now we don't have any updates regarding Nano-sim and it we be available on when the I phone will be launched.
Kostas: o2 has published that they will be available as of this afternoon on both your own forums and your Twitter account....
Sheldon: I'm sorry we don't have any information on that.
Kostas: No sure what you mean "we" Your own website says Q: How do I get a nano sim? A: One will come with the iPhone when you get it from O2 – if you’re buying from elsewhere you’ll be able to get one from us from Monday afternoon (17th September).
Kostas: http://news.o2.co.uk/2012/09/15/the-iphone-5-is-coming/
Kostas: Q: What if I get an iPhone 5 from somewhere else? How do I get a nano sim? A: You’ll need to pick a nano sim up from one of our stores from Monday afternoon (17th September)
Sheldon: You get the sim but only after 21/09.
Kostas: ....so why does your own website say 17th September

Damn Orange!

Just spoke with Orange to order a Nano Sim
(Ordered iPhone5 via Apple)
they say to give them a call after 22 September as their system hasn't been updated yet to place orders for Nano Sims!
It was hardly a surprise now was it Orange?

ARRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHH... i can understand your pain...

all these call centres who have multiple channels to talk to customers, just don't seem joined up! one channel saying one thing, another channel saying another.... useless!

***Carphone Warehouse***

I've had a right day with CPW.

Concerned that no money had left my account and that I had received no confirmation about my pre-order, I went to my local CPW to query the matter.

When there, an arrogant manager told me that the order was still open, it had not been processed, he didn't know (Couldn't be bothered to find out) why. I was told to ring a number and find out for myself.

I rang this number 7 times, each time being told the number was unavailable.

Disappointed with this, I went to a different CPW a little further from my house. When there, a sales assistant couldn't have done more to help me. He tracked down my order and rang up to find out what was wrong.

He was told due to the amount of orders that had been received in a short space of time. There had been a glitch in the process that meant i did not pass the internal credit check.

The sales assistant proceeded to cancel my order, refund me completely and re-order my phone. Fearing the worst, and prepared to have to wait at least another week after the 21st to get my phone, he told me he would put one aside for me on release day and I could pick it up from him any time after 5pm.

I now have the fully completed and signed contract next to me at home.

I urge anyone who has pre-orderd through CPW to go to their nearest shop immediately and check that there have been no issues with your pre-order like I have had.

Did they give you the adapter? Told me they only had them for micro sims.

Got a Micro SIM adapter and normal SIM adapter. Currently have the Nano SIM in the Normal SIM adapter in my BlackBerry, just done the SIM swap on O2's website, and i'm away :)

Has anyone got a nano-sim from Three sent by post yet?

yup, signed for a new 30 day contract on 3 on Thursday night and had the sim in the post Sat morning.

have only just tried to activate and port my number across to it and they have said its not showing on their system

I ordered mine on Thursday afternoon and it hasn't come yet :(

is it worth queueing up? i have a rural apple store (exeter)

I can't believe that you won't get it if you show up and 8am when the store opens (and wait in line for quite a while). I'd think that Apple will have a lot of phones ready to sell.

Picked up a nano-SIM at the O2 shop behind Liverpool Street station (don't know the name of it, sorry!). As soon as I uttered the words '…getting an iPhone 5…', he was already moving towards the pile they had :D. They didn't have any adapters, however, though this sounds like it varies between branches.

sounds like fatal last words lol

Why is everyone getting nano sims separately? Are you all buying the phone directly from Apple?
