I did order online, does was this information told to you when you ordered or was it a separate phone call?

Hopefully the money will exit my account tomorrow then, if the money is gone I will feel more comfortable in it arriving at launch!

Maybe I should try and phone them up in the morning to double check it will arrive. It would be nice to know if it's coming or not to know if I should take Friday off work.

I need to know the same thing..though so my mum can stay in all day for me as I cant get the day off work!

Just some info for anyone who is waiting on shipping info to change,

I got my pre-order email at 8:09am on Friday, and order status at the moment still says Preparing For Shipment. Delivers 9/21

Life saver I don't have a landline as I haven't a need for one (hardly ever at home), so that was the only thing making me think twice about calling them!
 
I've had a right day with CPW.

Concerned that no money had left my account and that I had received no confirmation about my pre-order, I went to my local CPW to query the matter.

When there, an arrogant manager told me that the order was still open, it had not been processed, he didn't know (Couldn't be bothered to find out) why. I was told to ring a number and find out for myself.

I rang this number 7 times, each time being told the number was unavailable.

Disappointed with this, I went to a different CPW a little further from my house. When there, a sales assistant couldn't have done more to help me. He tracked down my order and rang up to find out what was wrong.
He was told due to the amount of orders that had been received in a short space of time. There had been a glitch in the process that meant i did not pass the internal credit check.

The sales assistant proceeded to cancel my order, refund me completely and re-order my phone. Fearing the worst, and prepared to have to wait at least another week after the 21st to get my phone, he told me he would put one aside for me on release day and I could pick it up from him any time after 5pm.

I now have the fully completed and signed contract next to me at home.

I urge anyone who has pre-orderd through CPW to go to their nearest shop immediately and check that there have been no issues with your pre-order like I have had.

Well I havent checked with them, but the moneys definitey on my card.
In other news it took me well over an hour to get my PAC code from o2.

Not confident about my phone turning up Friday, as all my other Carphone orders went wrong, but we'll see....

I live on my own too but shes offered to come and sit in for the day to wait for it. Though if it doesnt come friday and I still dont receive any emails etc, she might be sitting in for a few weeks!
 
Ordered at around 8.45ish i believe. It was a 16gb black. I did phone up and they said they couldnt check my order for 7 days! But if it was all ok i should get it friday as i ordered early. But theyre telling everyone else 30 days so i dont know what to believe.

Maybe it's only if a person hasn't made the first allocation of handsets they are getting the 30 days email.
 
does anybody know which courier apple used for the iP4 and 4S? Was just wondering weather they've already sent out our phones through royal mail or s/t?

Hahahahaha!!! Royal Mail... I don't think that Apple would trust them with millions of pounds worth of phones to be delivered on one specific day! I can barely get anything within 3 days when its marked 'Special Delivery: Next Day - Guaranteed by 1pm'!

My iPhone 4S (and iPad 3) was sent with TNT, but some in the London area were sent with UK Mail. I'd guess the same will happen this time around.
 
Did anyone ever work out why O2 were acting as an agent for CPW this year? Did O2 fall out with Apple or something?

Oh, and O2 say are sending mine with UK Mail or DHL, which I'm crossing my fingers for because they both deliver really early to me!

It's not that they are acting as agents, CPW have a dedicated O2 department. So although you are on O2 you have a different CS number to call than if you purchased direct from O2

I think you can only get one if you phone (which sucks!) or if you go in store. I can't see anywhere on their website to order one. My local O2 store didn't have any nano SIMs in today and just said 'try again tomorrow...':(

i rang customer services and have one in the post, hope its here for thrusday.. if not i will be going down to the o2 store at 7pm to pick one up.. i dont want to face the store on friday lol

Did you try the live support chat with O2? When i was with them i used it all the time for stuff.
I'm Now with Vodafone, and earlier this evening i used their online support chat, and the guy ordered me a nano sim within a couple of mins.

I meant when O2 customers upgraded through O2, the got a message saying they were acting as an agent for CPW...
 
Just realised I could be saving £6 a month with pretty much any other network. I thought I was getting a good deal with O2 but doesn't look like I am. Thinking of Vodafone but which one was the easiest getting hold of a Nano Sim? Not Three, bad signal here and didn't like being with them when I was.
