Just read the first couple reviews on that site, are yodel really that bad!?
Ordered at 8:06am and im still processing as well, the way Apple sees Ayrshire, is like an island, but considering its only 40 mins from Glasgow is a complete joke! I recieved my iPad 3 day 1, so why on earth cant they get the iPhone to me this Friday i do not know, it better at least come on Monday!!
Has everyone from Orange still got the same? Has been like this since order was placed (yes I'm aware it was a late one)

Hi guy
I am currently with virgin uk, and they will not stock the nano sims but i am not happy about, i have another 11 months of my contract left, i have bought my iphone outright from apple.com.
My question is if i bought a nano sim from another provider, can i get virgin to activate that sim with my number?
Basically can i get Virgin to xfer my number on a another providers nano sim so i can continue with my contract with Virgin.
Can virgin copy a microsim to a non virgin nano sim ?
Thanks

Just spoke to a representative at Orange, he was as helpful as he could be given that they clearly know as much about delivery dates as the rest of us!
I placed my order online on Friday evening and received a email confirmation within an hour which included an order/tracking number. Though having scoured this forum and Twitter I began to feel my phone was never going to be delivered so decided to give them a call to clarify matters.
I was told that, even though they are telling customers there is a 30 day window for delivery, you should be receiving your phone either on launch day or a day or so later. Those were his words, and that was after looking at my order time of roughly 8:40pm on the Friday.
Interestingly, he also said that if you have gone for the 32gb version, you're more likely to get your phone sooner. apparently they have far more stock of them than 16gb or 64gb.
Hope this helps!
There has been some discussion about this in the last few posts but the short answer is, no. A SIM is network specific and cannot be used by another network unless you are roaming or some other agreement is in place (like when T-mobile and Orange tied up).Basically can i get Virgin to xfer my number on a another providers nano sim so i can continue with my contract with Virgin.

Anyone know who Apple uses to deliver the iPhone 5?
YES!!! They once delivered to me at 11:15pm! Luckily I was still up (as it was £250 earphones) and didn't have to deal with their AWFUL re-delivery service!
Basically, if you don't get it when they first try to deliver then there is a slim chance of you actually getting it!

You can cut you sim down to size and there is some info about that up thread too ... I'm sure that someone who knows will post the link.

In my experience this is true for anything that comes directly from Apple, however if the phones are stored with some logistics outfit (like the iPad 3's that were shipped from Syncreon Hinckley) then they will use whichever courier. This includes UPS and TNT but also UKMail, Parcelforce and YODEL (descending order of reliability).its UPS here in Northumberland (at least everything i get from apple comes via them HOWEVER if i do a return its TNT who collect?) So i presume area dependant between TNT and UPS
Iphone 5 due to delivery on the 21/9 order placed at 08:17.
IOS 6 tomorrow who's upgrading? and what time is it going to be released as a update from apple?

I can only suggest getting a template to cut it down and see where the lines go through, you might to order a replacement from Virgin first though - or get a PAYG SIM from them and test it out. Thanks, the mirco sim i have fom virgin, i cant see it being cut further into a nano sim size, that would mean i will be cutting edges of the actual sim not just the plastic. I think virgin nano sims seems to have bigger sims that other providers, the actual sim bit seems more oblong as supposed to be square.
Any suggestions?
