Iphone 5 due to delivery on the 21/9 order placed at 08:17.

IOS 6 tomorrow who's upgrading? and what time is it going to be released as a update from apple?

:apple:

We wont be updating to IOS 6 tomorrow. Will be chaotic and take ages so not bothering.

Ah didn't know about quidco cashbck.....will take a look thanks.

Just spoke to an orange rep on the phone said they could better online deals.

Well I'm looking at either the £10.50 or £15.50 plans.
The £10.50 plan comes with £50 cash back = £8.40/month
The £15.50 plan comes with £80 cash back = £12.15/month

Thinking is that if I go with Orange I'll be able to transfer to EE should their packages be attractive enough. By that time I'll have received the Quidco cashback.

Already upgraded (Dev account) but if you are that way inclined you can get the GM seed off the web somewhere and beat the rush. GM builds can be installed by anyone as the phones UUID does not need to be registered.

It's scary how simliar my story is, £220 headphones waited all day to no avail got to 9pm went to take the recycling out and saw the bloody courier drive past my house! I tried to flag him down but he drove off. I rang YODEL and they said the driver tried to deliver but couldn't find anywhere to park! My drive was empty and there was plenty of space outfront. Next day they delivered and left the package out in plain sight! What a Joke!

Wow! That is similar! I've gone so far as to not order from anywhere that list YODEL as a courier - or, if there is no other option, to email the company and ask for another courier!

Me too. YODEL have to be the worst courier around. Why companies still use them to transport anything around is beyond me.

Agree.. YODEL are awful.. a few months ago my missus ordered a vase from Amazon, when Yodel delivered there was no one home so they chucked the parcel over the fence into the back yard!

How do companies react to you requesting another courier?
I never really thought of doing that.

Guys my phone is going to arrive on Friday, and I still haven't found a sim that I can use, it will come unlocked and all the pay to go programs I've looked into do not offer a nano sim. Also I can't get a monthly contract because I'm an EU student.
Is my only option a micro sim and a pair of scissors I really don't want to rape my new phone.

I was told in the Cambridge store I would have to wait until next week, and ORDER an adapter.

I got mine through their website and it came in the mail today, but when I went into the Three store at London Liverpool Street today for a free adaptor, they had a whole box full of nano-SIMs.

I got my Nano SIM from my local Three store on Friday with an adaptor no worries

Would that defeat the object of a SIM card though, in any case?

Sounds like there is a misunderstanding somewhere along the line....

So are you saying then, in your opinion, that sims are basically non-network specific, and if you laid your hands on a a nano-sim from somewhere, then you could in theory port/transfer your existing number onto it regardless of your network provider ie. 3/O2/Vodafone etc?

SIMs are network specific after they have had the network providers toolkit flashed on to it which provides network authentication and provides access to the services the user is allowed to access, the SMSC (Short Message Service Center) number, Service Provider Name (SPN), Service Dialing Numbers (SDN), Advice-Of-Charge parameters and Value Added Service (VAS) applications.

Before that, its just some gold in some plastic.

There is also different generations of SIM card that each carrier will test to ensure compatibility.

I don't expect anything from Yodel will ever arrive on time. Last time, a package from Amazon, they claimed it had been delivered and left on the porch when there were two people at home at the time & there was no package. Amazon ended up re-sending by DPD...

Apple will be getting lots of angry phonecalls if they use Yodel!

Thanks for that, very informative. :)

Ordered through the Carphone Warehouse on Orange yesterday, and to my surprise it will be delivered on Friday (Thought it would be a few weeks seeing as I didn't order straight away)

However reading some reviews on YODEL who will be delivering and my hopes of it arriving Friday are not as high as they were..

Thanks for this! With the Caesars Bingo one, are you only allowed to wager your £10 on a game of Bingo or can it be something like roulette? Thanks for this! With the Caesars Bingo one, are you only allowed to wager your £10 on a game of Bingo or can it be something like roulette?

Had my CPW "dispatched" email this morning with tracking number and yes it's the dreaded yodel.

Apparently my package is sitting in the Lichfield service centre. Fingers crossed they don't screw this one up!

Oh I've heard them do that before! Complete joke!

:) I didn't even bother opening the box, I could hear the millions of shattered pieces!

Amazon to their credit sent me a replacement the next day with freee saturday delivery with DPD and i had an exact slot of when it was coming.

I'm sure HDNL (now Yodel) bought DHL's UK domestic service a few years back so hopefully Apple don't use them either

You won't be getting your phone.

So... All those waiting for tracking details might have to wait until thursday very early AM say 1-2am if last years 4S thread is anything to go by...

Also.. Deliveries were reaching people well up until 9-10 pm at night. 40k+ deliveries for one sorting office just of the 4S!

I'm sure it's because Amazon has had plenty of experience rectifying Yodels screw ups haha.

I don't think Apple are using them but it looks like CPW and some others are.
