Thanks, I'm not on Twitter so that's really helpful. Will be interested to hear what they say.
Just got off the phone with my local 3 store. They have nano SIM's in store and can swap anyone over who buys a SIM free iPhone 5
Now to sell my 4S...
64GB White Factory Unlocked... anyone fancy it?
iPhone 5 thread probably not the right place to advertise![]()
So can you pick up a Nano SIM before you get the iPhone 5? I remember my Vodafone store asked me to bring my iPhone 4 in to get a Micro SIM.
Of course it will function on non-LTE as normal 3G phone.
Three.co.uk has already listed the Nano-sims as confirmed. http://www.three.co.uk/_standalone/Ready_for_Three_3
Spoke to O2 and they said:
Nano sim available on 21st sept. Mine is gonna be delivered to my home address- very kind of O2.
Migration from old micro-sim to nano-sim will probably take 24 hrs after that...
so all in all it will be like 24hrs after getting ip5 that it sill be fully usable.
O2 have revealed contracts earlier... But they are clearly going to mean the handsets cost a ridiculous amount of ££... Unlimited minutes/text & 1gb data on all of them! We all know no one really wants unlimited minutes and they'll use it as an excuse to charge probably up to £500+ for the 64gb one lol.

I don't understand why they're only offering a 24 month contract? Mine is a 12 month at the moment.
Will there be any UK carriers supporting wideband voice?

Need to use a different phone?
If you ever need to revert your nano sim to another phone, we'll give you a converter.
Your nano sim pack will come with two converters: one for micro sims and one for standard sims. If you ever need another one, you can get one at an O2 shop.
I have been assured that availability of nano SIMs from Three won't be a problem. They have large stocks in the warehouse already. I don't know the mechanism for distributing them yet, but I expect something will be announced within the next day.![]()
they'll be getting LTE within the next 6 months.
Where did you see that? They've only just signed a deal with Samsung to provide the hardware and EE are not in a hurry to release the 1800MHz spectrum to them. I'd say 6 months is highly optimistic.
you'd have thought the carriers would have been ready to announce their compatibility/plans etc.. first thing this morning.
does anyone know if O2 will provide these Nano Sim packs for customers buying the phone unlocked from Apple?
