Yeh, I may end up doing the same... but mine is /mint/ condition :(

Feel the same way mate mines in great condition box and all! the sad thing is we stand to make only £20 or so more for having all this as we were too late selling. just check mazuma and they have gone down to £210 so don't sell it there!

https://tradein.asda.com still giving £270 :)

giffgaff won't have Micro SIMs for a few months yet:

We will be supporting the iPhone 5 as soon as we can, but before we go ahead and offer the nanoSIM, there are a number of technical changes that need to be made. To be able to get the giffgaff nanoSIM launched as soon as we can, we are looking at alternative distribution methods (a bit like we have done in the past with Microgaff). If all goes well, we hope to have the SIM cards ready for distribution in the coming months

... as somebody who works in the industry...

So, out of interest, what's your take on the frequencies? My understanding is that the auction next year will be for much more useful low and very high frequencies, meaning much better building penetration and much better speed respectively, than the one available to EE now.

That's making me think I'm going to stick with Vodafone for now, as I've been really happy with them for two years, and hope that they come up with the goods over the next year or so. In the meantime, as I use a MiFi for my iPad, I'll play with EE or 3 LTE as and when it becomes available.

Thanks,
Tiptopp

go to O2 website> contact us at the bottom of page> start chat. Choose "something else" in drop down and start the chat.

Ask for a nano sim to go with iphone 5. they ask for existing number, name, address, last bill date and amount. they deliver this out to your home address on the account.

Just tried that and got told that they could send me a nano sim but only if I contacted them on the 21st. Or went into a store on or after the 21st.

I asked " Am I able to order a nano sim today for delivery on the 21st?" and the advisor said no.

With iPhone 4 it was similar. The first time I contacted O2 they said, yes no problems and then sent me a sim that would only work in an iPad. When I called them back they said the sim would only be available from an O2 store on or after launch day and they wanted to see the handset. Or I could call them after launch day.

how do they know which company you are going with? unless its a generic sim?

I am "guessing" that if you go into an apple store and buy the phone sim free they will give you a sim based on the network you are with. They are able to check that.

I don't think it will be a generic sim and I would be surprised if Apple sent a sim with a handset bought via the website.

Just went into T-Mobile. They said the iPhone 5 was being released on 28th in the UK and they did not know when they were getting them in.

Clueless is an understatement.

I am going to get the 32GB from Apple, trying to pre-order tomorrow at 8AM!

Does anyone know, do they take the money tomorrow or just before dispatch.

Yeh, Asda said £315 for my 64GB... might try for £350 on facebook / at work.

who has confirmed this from three please?

I've spoken to my local (Blackpool) three store. They have nano SIM's in.

eBay worked for me, boxed with unused accessories £320 inc postage. Sold less than an hour ago, only thing is i have no phone now!

They did last year. Also three stores have the nano sims and adapters in stock and will swap you free of charge.

By that, do you mean I can move to a Nano SIM now and just put it in a Micro SIM adaptor to use in my 4S in the interim, and then just put the raw NANO in my i5?

Remember, when the iPhone 5 comes out Apple will only be selling 16GB iPhone 4S so people with 32 & 64GB shouldn't need to sell straight away, they will hold more value than the standard 16GB models.

I am not 100% sure whether to wait tbh, I waited last year and managed to get one a couple of weeks after launch.

hey guys

just wanted to check after seeing the engadget article, will LTE ever be on O2 on the iP5 at any point then? its not something i really care about but dont want to be cheated out of a feature because of network...

and is it just a case of lining up on release day at an o2 store to get one on contract? (my contracts currently expired with them)
