Just emailed my contact @ Apple! Hopefully they can do something to get it to me on Thursday (although I doubt it...) Haha... Last time I got 11 UPS 'Extreme Priority Shipment' Stickers on the box - and I didn't even know they existed!

LOl my contact at apple? You know the head tea boy ;)

Nah!!! Had an issue with Retina MacBook Pro over the summer and had 3 faulty ones! The person that handled it all gave me their email and said to contact them again if I ordered anything else and they would 'watch over it', whatever that means!

Just thought everyone even half interested in sound would like the know the Apple EarPods (Included with the iPhone 5) get a pretty good thumbs up from the headphone gurus at Head-Fi.org

There is a 13 page long thread about them, several user reviews by people that seriously know there audio. The general consensus is as follows:

They fit well, especially for the non in-ear type
The bass is MUCH improved over the old ones, and yet fairly controlled
Mids are OK
Highs are a bit rough the start with, smooth out a bit after many hours (10 to 20+).

Most people seem to agree they compete well with must sub $100 headphones. But if you do your research, there are definitely better headphones under the $100 mark. But equally, they also say they are as good if not better than the rip off $200 in ear headphones from Bose, Beats Audio.

Everyone is pretty happy considering the price and the fact they are included for free :)

edit:

A quote from the end of a user review from a headphone guru:

They do provide a good deal of detail. When listening to Page and Plant Unledded, "The Rain Song" the orchestra comes through nicely. I wouldn't expect the kind of detail that you're getting out of a headphone like the VModa M80, but for a sub 30 dollar earbud, I'd say it ranks very high. Cost to performance ratio is quite good. I gotta give it up to Apple on this one.

Hey, sorry if this has been asked before but who do apple use to ship their iPhone pre orders in the uk? My 32gb white 5 is 'delivers 21/9' still.

Anyone have any more deals, where I can make money? More the Merrier, £150 made plus £80 on the casino side not bad..

Look into Matched Betting (great thread on moneysavingexpert forums) and you will make a few thousand.

I have got the same update as limesmoothie according to the Online Tracker, but I have now locked myself out of that because it's flaky.

I also have the 16GB

Drokk, looks like I'll have to wait a little while longer, must be the size and that I was a "new" customer so had to be credit checked.

Either UPS and/or RM/ParcelForce it looks like this time - maybe a bit of UKMail.

Cheers, I hope for Royal Mail as I will be at work and there the only one likely to leave mine with my neighbour! In fact it's there current policy to do so!

Really looking forward to my first new phone in 2.5 year!

Think I was the last person in the country to get an iPhone 4S on launch day last year! Preordered on Apple - courier turned up at 8.30PM on launch day/night!

They were completely swamped that day and I was the last on the list!!

I'm exactly the same. Did you have to wait for you email with account and new phone number to get the nano sim? I don't have this yet but do have my pac code from O2 but chatted to Vodafone today on livechat and they couldn't order me one

Did the lot on the phone on Friday. Account details, credit check, new (temporary) number, etc. Got a text on Monday saying the SIM had been posted via royal mail, arrived today. Just waiting to get an adapter or the iPhone 5 to activate the damn thing.

Was talking to the UPS delivery guy - who comes to us most days - they are dreading Friday, extra vehicles and late working !!

Still the best sub 100 quid earphones I've heard are the Sennheiser CX300's. Cracking for the price. Will keep the new earbuds in my work bag as spares mind.

Hope the MBP is sorted now.

Nice to have a contact at Apple. :)

Yeah it is! All the ones I got had really noticeable dead pixels!

Normally UPS, UK Mail or TNT... UPS normally direct from China, UK Mail in London area and TNT in most other places.

I read a few reviews of the earpods and none of them were amazing..a few even said that £25 was far too much for them and nearly any other pair under that would be better.

I had ordered my nano sim from Vodafone on friday and have finally received it today!

Now all i'm waiting for is my iPhone 5 32GB for friday! Cant wait at all!

Anyone got any update on their t-mobile order.

T-mobile today told me there's no chance I would receive the phone on Friday and would even be lucky to receive it next week. I ordered bang on 8am on Friday. Somebody else has mentioned the first lot of orders will be delivered next Friday, so if that's true, the earliest would be Friday 28th. I've placed an order via carphone warehouse 9pm tonight and they advised me there's 80% chance I will receive on Friday 21st, if not it will be Monday by the very latest. It actually works out a better deal through the CPW. I bet T-Mobile will be losing a lot of customers due to lack of information!

what was there reason? if u dont mind me asking

This is not strictly true, They do have a limit of 1000Gb per month.

And if you are in the top 5 % of data users on the network they will restrict your usage

Personally... i can live with that

This is the reason 3 dont actually call it unlimited, they call it all-you-can-eat data

nonsense. Itd completely unlimited. no top rate, no fup, unlimited. Last month I used 23G, and have averaged around 19G per month. no calls or otherwise.

Hello really really delayed reply it has anyone had or knows any information on Three. I ordered with Three on the Saturday. I was told I would get an email from DPD (courier) on Thursday and I would need to confirm I want it delivered on Friday by replying. I would then get information the next day stating when roughly I will get it. Anyone ordered with three and know more?

It's exactly as you said

No, you are wrong. It actually says 1000gb limit on three's website but I highly doubt anyone will use that in a month!
