T-mobile today told me there's no chance I would receive the phone on Friday and would even be lucky to receive it next week. I ordered bang on 8am on Friday. Somebody else has mentioned the first lot of orders will be delivered next Friday, so if that's true, the earliest would be Friday 28th. I've placed an order via carphone warehouse 9pm tonight and they advised me there's 80% chance I will receive on Friday 21st, if not it will be Monday by the very latest. It actually works out a better deal through the CPW. I bet T-Mobile will be losing a lot of customers due to lack of information!

WOW really? What model did you order? I am going to look at the CPW site now.

I just cancelled my back up order with Apple today as well. How did t-mobile let you know that?

Call to O2

I waited 1 hour 16 mins listening to 5 songs being repeated over and over again to talk to the cancelation department, the conversation went link this:

"Why do you want to cancel?"

Three do unlimited tethering

"no they dont"

Yes, they do

"Does this mean you still want to cancel?"

........
Being kept on the phone for over an hour and then immediately being lied to isnt a brilliant way to retain customers! Bye O2

Any of you guys know if I would receive my iPhone on Friday or at least before 26th. I ordered it on the 14th around 4pm over the telephone due to an upgrade. Have only got texts thanking me for my order so far.

But haven't got no email or order number etc.

Any idea guys or anyone else who has ordered from Orange UK?

Thanks.

T-Mobile confirmed to me tonight that I'll definitely be getting it AM on Friday 21st via royal mail. Even gave me the order number for it. Consignment number will be available tomorrow. Cant understand why they have told you such a long delivery date. It was the 64gb I ordered and the did say the other day they were struggling to meet demand with the 16gb. Don't know if this is making any difference. When did they take your payment for the handset from your bank? Was it online or an over the phone order? Sounds as if they are giving you the wrong info, especially as you mentioned in an earlier post that your status was 'picking' would come after processing

Give them a call they should give you a number to track it on their website

I just had no email confirmation. Haven't read into it to much. Did you get one?

You'll get the email Thursday as if its a new contract/number they have to assign a number etc to the order so it takes a while - when your emailed you'll also be give a chance to pick a delivery slot

I'm cancelling my (over the) phone order due to a cock up with their customer service team and picking one up in store Friday am

Same here, the idiot.. And when asked for the sim, he was like " we are not meant to be giving these out until friday " But funnily enough O2 themselves told me that the sims can be collected in store as of yesterday! Jokers

Glad I am leaving them to go on to t-mobile but still need an O2 sim until my contract expires next month.

to be fair to them, i've not had any problems with them in the 4 years ive been on o2.

They create problems for themselves by being very slow with news etc when new products (i.e. iphones) come out. If they released contract news early, and briefed all of their stores on what the policy is we wouldn't have this problem.

I spoke to my next nearest store and they said they wouldn't have them till Thursday. So whats the story o2, are they available from 'monday afternoon' as per your news link or thursday like the majority of your stores are saying.

Well that has given me some hope then. I ordered a 32GB so hoping that will play in my favour. Did they ring you or did you ring them for order number.

nonsense. Itd completely unlimited. no top rate, no fup, unlimited. Last month I used 23G, and have averaged around 19G per month. no calls or otherwise.

Does all you can eat data come with any limits? The limit is how much your device can consume – if you were to actively use data or the Internet on your phone every second, of every day, in every month (and we would be worried if you were !!!!) you would, subject to the current traffic management requirements (which vary from time to time), use up to 1000GB per month. So in essence there is a limit of how much data you can actually consume which is up to 1000GB. All this means that you can have absolute piece of mind and enjoy all the internet you need on your smartphone, without worrying.

I'm in same situation, I have been told that the information of my order was kept on one system then transferred to the main system over the weekend and after speaking today with orange CS they said my order wasn't actually confirmed until 16th once it was processed through the system! They reassured me that I didn't need a email but just wait for a text the day before delivery! My new talk plan has gone live on my account and the money was taken.

So check these things and maybe call tomorrow.

not yet.. I have a proprietary VW Ipod kit in my car so I'm gonna have to wait for years before VW update their cables!

think I'll be buying the 30pin to lightning pretty soon

I'm quite lucky in the fact that my iPhone hooks up to my car via bluetooth. However, I would still like an in car charging solution, and don't fancy having to keep remembering my pack-in charging cable when i go driving for more than a few weeks.

I'm similar, though ordered online at about 3:20pm. No emails, but money taken immediately. Texts about new contract etc, and when I rang a few days ago they said I'd get a new tracking number soon (had one text to me but it was wrong, saying I'd get the phone Wednesday). This has also not happened.

I may call them again tomorrow, but I suspect I'll just be fobbed off.

may i ask what you use 23gb on?

In my worst month recently (when the wifi stopped working at uni) I would have consumed around 1.2 gb, and that was doing a lot of stuff.

If you asked me to dl that much in a month, i wouldn't know where to start.

Jesus, people really need to chill instead of smashing the thread with inane what ifs, how about waiting till Thursday night for delivery emails.

It's the most popular phone release ever and I'm guessing they're kind of busy trying to make sure everyone who ordered a phone gets one Friday

I had a text and that was the day after just saying thanks round the Sat morning. Money was taken already, I hope I get it on Friday that is all and give me some kind of update or order number, just something so I know it is safe if you know what I mean?

I have two 3 contracts and one I barely use.

No one texts or calls me on that number and I don't give it out.

With iPad tethering and the huge battery I am seriously tempted to put that in my iPad, right now I use a pay and go SIM. (I just dont use that other contract although that wasn't the plan when I got it clearly)

Probably streaming video/songs

T-Mobile would do themselves a big favour by adding an order tracker on their site- very frustrating. Also seems to be pot luck with regards to how much your particular service agent is "able to tell you" (read: can be bothered to look up for you). Ordered a 64GB Black at about 8.30am on launch, although credit check wasn't processed until I called to double check later in the evening. Really hoping for a Friday delivery- why is there not a standard T-Mobile line on this?!

another completely useless customer service rep from t-mobile.

"as soon as APPLE launches the nano sim we will be having it."

Oh god so if I don't rey quick enought to the email sent on Thursday then I might not get it delivered on Friday? Is that right?

To those thinking of leaving O2, I managed to get my PUC code during an online chat, took about 20 minutes for someone to speak to me but after a few questions they duely obliged. Saves you from losing your mind listening to the latest pop sensations while waiting on the phone :)

Got 2 tweets from O2, both saying that ALL stores are now up to speed, so to hear people are still having problems is getting beyond a joke. They didn't reply to my last tweet, told them it was too late and next time for the sake of others they need to plan ahead.

Can't see my advice doing them any good next time!

My better half has just happily told me she's off on Friday. Very silly of her because now she's not allowed to leave the house til my iPhone turns up :D

I phoned them. Was a bit worried with all the conflicting information regarding delivery dates. I actually phoned back up about 9:30 tonight just to see if a consignment number had been given and the guy went into the usual defensive mode that everyone is describing on here of "we will not have stock of the phone till Friday, the phone will then be despatched then and will take 3-5 working days for delivery by ukmail blah blah blah" I let him give his speech before telling him I'd already been told they had stock and had been given an order number, got put on hold, came back on and said he spoke to his manager there, it's defo on for an am delivery this Friday and apologised for the mis-information as this was news to him. Still couldn't give me a consignment number though but noticed a note on the order the someone called Kayleigh was giving me a call tomorrow to give me a consignment number. Was quite chuffed with that last bit as it means I wasn't just getting fobbed off

I think DPD automatically deliver the next day unless you tell them otherwise. The E-Mail is just for if you know you won't be in Friday and want to tell them to deliver it Monday. Saves them a wasted trip.

Wow, that guy doesn't even speak English well enough to provide effective customer support. T-Mobile need to train their staff better.
