Unfortunately no, you have not stumbled onto LTE.

You will start to see EE as the carrier when you used to see Orange or T- Mobile as they migrate the network.

Is that a new SIM or the older SIM you are using?

I have been running Gold Master and betas on my 4S and iPad... And not seen EE so far.... But I know it is coming.... In fact I got a text today telling me it is coming.

Here is the Tweet from EE....

"@EE: iPhone users might notice their phone now says EE. Don't worry, you're still an Orange or T-Mobile customer, only the name shown has changed"

Go to Settings > General > About and you should get a prompt that their is a carrier profile update and it will then change to EE. I was on iOS6 GM and that worked for me.

Installing iOS6 must trigger it to check for a carrier profile update.

Three Nano-SIM picked up this lunchtime (inc. free adapter), Apple shipment notification this evening, nice!

UPS delivery here, going to go check the tracking websites now :)

I had to get CS to send me one - I got £10 free credit added though - my local store refused to give one to me, they were actually clueless on the nano SIM.

Well, looks like no phone store in my town has a nano to micro sim adapter, stupid, so either I try and make my own tonight and see if that will work to activate the nano in my iPhone 4, or just see if it activates in the 5 in a reasonable time on Friday or take the risk it won't.

Other news, I'm guessing everyone has had they're email from Apple that they're phone was shipped out, had mine a few hours ago. :D

My local one is pretty good, the girls in there are all well informed - I could have gotten one Monday, but they were out of stock already so I had to wait for the next batch. Looks like they're getting daily deliveries at the moment.

According the the girls in store, they're not anticipating LTE services until late next year on Three, and probably later than that for any decent coverage.

It's the old micro SIM I still have in the 4S

We're all stuck in processing and will be till Wednesday at earliest. The phones will be in locked cages in a uk warehouse with car phone warehouses courier of choice (DPD or Yodel) then a couple of days before they will all be sent to local depots and delivered hopefully on friday.

Just spoke to O2 customer services who seem quite adamant that pre-orders will definitely be delivered on Friday :)

They didn't even have any in stock :/ well, that was what I was told. I've complained about them though, I was also rudely told to go on the one month rolling plan, the guy didn't try to sell it, but they were all sitting there rather unprofessionally.

anyone fancy joining me in a complaint to OFCOM reference Orange uks' dealing of this iphone launch?

Ive found there service and csr to be completely inept with regards to the differing information and lack of information regarding this launch. Even O2 are now starting to get things together.

if anyone is, could you please forward your experiences on jon.wealls@hotmail.com.

Could it be possible for the starter of this thread to also put this post as a sticky on the first page of this thread.

Regards

Jon

i ordered on the apple website on the 17th and my order status is this:
Processing Items Dispatched: 2 - 3 Weeks Delivers 09 Oct, 2012 - 15 Oct, 2012

is it right to be still 'processing items'? just checking :), and also could it actually come maybe a week before that, e.g 02 oct?

Can anyone gimme an answer of what they think or w/e? :)

Bingo! worked for me.

For those of you with UPS as their courier, what number are you using for the tracking number as none of those provided to me seem to be working.
Cheers.

I can, do you want to use a non personal email address?

Regarding tethering on Three... Are people managing to do this on any plan? I pre-ordered through Three last Friday in store and I chose the one plan due to its tethering. I certainly don't need the 2000 minutes it offers and 500 would be plenty for me. So is it worth switching to the ultimate 500 plan and seeing if I can still tether?

It would be a bit pointless if I did that and then it didn't work! The devices I would want to tether to are a playbook and an iPad once I get one next year. Also will be watching movies via netflix on the go as well as sky go.
