the setting I referred to is a bit different, if you were automatically connected to a wifi that wasn't working, or a public wifi that needed a pwd, this setting would switch apps to use 3G.

I actually wanted to find it to DISABLE it as I'm over 80% usage. But like the man said, it's been removed.

Ahhhh with ya.... Soz

I understand that it will not be everyones experiance but there are i am sure people who have been messed around by the eg wrong delivery dates without cancelling them etc

I am glad u havent had any problems

You might have a slim chance of Trading Standards taking an interest, OFCOM really really really won't care.

Oh no!! Just realised that you can't put Siri's volume all the way down any more on iOS 6... Knowing my luck it will go off in class tomorrow and I can't deny that it's not my phone since it says my name when replying!! :)

Edit: Sorry, this is more iOS 6 related than iPhone 5...

I'm pretty sure that OFCOM couldn't give a rats @rse about the launch of a handset and your lack of ability to get your hands on one without getting stressed out. Don't pester them with this kind of cr@p, they have better things to be doing like sorting out spectrum auctions and lots of other stuff that might actually be useful.

so lying, giving false information etc is fine by you, all u seem to be worried about is ur 4g which i dont give a rats ass about but i dont come on here and berate you for that, so unless u have something construtive to say i would ask you to keep out of something which blatantly has nothing to do with you !!!

Agreed, it's nothing to do with IOS and rather EE updating their systems to reflect the new branding. They said it would happen this way at the LTE launch press conference

It isn't EE updating their systems.

The EE is defined in the carrier settings,, among many other settings, which are defined by EE as a manual process, submitted to Apple who will then push the change out through iTunes or OTA.

Also, technically IOS is Cisco, iOS is Apple (sorry, couldn't resist)

My Vodafone order hasn't progressed from 'Parcel number We haven't dispatched your order yet. You'll see a parcel number when we send it.
Order status Your order has been selected in the warehouse and is pending dispatch'

Rubbish!

Just to say if you ordered through Apple you can call them for the 16 digit full tracking number however it still hasn't updated with any info so pretty pointless as the reference number will probably work at the sane time as when the longer full number goes live too and gets updated on the apple tracking bridge point web page. I'm guessing during night or tomorrow before us UPS people can monitor it to our homes for Friday.

I always ask people who say IOS how there 3750 is running and they look confused until you tell them that there iphone is running iOS (eye-os) :)

Typical IT Geek joke im afraid :)

I couldn't care less about 4g either. You need a reality check; make a new thread called 'Orange are wankers' if that's what you want to get support for.

If you apply the 'unless you have something constructive to say' to this whole thread it would only be a page or two long.

Just called Orange and ordered my nano SIM. Will arrive in 3-4 days. So, probably Saturday. They weren't taking orders in the beginning of the week. Annoying.. Anyway, I could probably try the store on Friday, but I'll be at work and the store will be packed. So it may be ok to receive on Saturday by post..

:)

Still no word from Orange, wasn't really expecting it to be honest. Updated iPhone 4 to iOS 6 though and as soon as I turned it on, I got a message saying an update to the carrier profiles was available. I pressed ok and within a couple of minutes my carrier changed from Orange to EE. Bit too much of a coincidence if you ask me.

Think you can do a bit of sly tethering but don't take my word for it.

Whether to get The One Plan, depends on how much you plan on tethering - I nail 10gb+ a month so it's a no brainer, I'd be flagged up in no time probably. If you'd only be using a gb or so, you'd probably get away with it I'm guessing.

Hmm not sure exactly how much I'd be tethering but considering I'll be watching movies and a few football games each month I would imagine that would be a few gig? The tethering works out to be an extra £48 over the 2 years so just deciding if its worth sticking to the one plan for peace of mind if anything.

For some reason the Orange changing to EE made me squeal with excitement for Friday (no homo).

Anyone on Orange with a non-tethering plan able to tether on their current iPhone? I have never had the Personal Hotspot option in my settings on my iPhone 4, even though it's unlocked!

If i try this link, it says info not available yet, does this mean it will be coming via UKMail. or is that just their info when wrong info is inputted.?

If I recall from my iPad 3 order, Syncreon didnt hand over the device until the night after the shipping notification.

So if today is Wednesday, UKMail get it thursday,UKMail deliver to me on friday.

Was hoping someone else would pick up on this! It does work cause I've tested just don't know weather they'll be charging for it D:

Haven't heard since i ordered my upgrade. However, my card has been debited and my online account is showing parts of the new tariff. Looking promising..i hope!

Same here. I called them today and they made it sound that they get the stock on Friday only to dispatch it after! This is despite the fact that every other carrier has the logistical capabilities to deliver for Friday.

Though when I rang, the Orange aftersales lady kept on saying 'We'll contact you, we'll contact you'. Poor guys, they must hate iPhone users! :p

The chap I spoke to today reckoned that this was the line they had all been told to take. He didn't know if what the email that went round meant was deliveries start Friday, but it was worded start dispatching Friday. Sounds like typical miscommunication from Orange (EE on my phone now)!

Let's hope so, Carphone Warehouse are delivering Orange orders on Friday so I would expect the network provider to lead by example. I'm moving from O2 to Orange. O2 were okay and decent with me but the 3gb data was a winner for me.

Anyone has any success getting iPhones unlocked at these "Mobile Accessory and Unlocking stalls" you see in some shopping centres. I had O2 unlock my iPhone 4 months ago but the wife's is still locked to O2 and they now take 2 weeks to unlock it.

Essentially meaning once her phone number is ported over to her new 3 nano-sim tomorrow she can't use it with an adapter until her iPhone 5 comes.

I requested mine to be unlocked from O2 this afternoon. She said it would take up to 10 days, but I received the text saying it had been unlocked 2 hours later!

Call 202 and press 0.

How would they know? I wouldn't be doing anything I wouldn't on my phone. It's just if I can get it to work, it would be a plus for making me want an iPad and streaming things on a bigger screen etc

Sometimes it doesn't appear until you go into Settings/General/Mobile Data/Personal Hotspot > On.

:)

ok cheers, strange decision.

I know the thread has moved on somewhat but it's not that strange as its been in most dev builds so that any apps that are "wifi only" can be tested outside of a wifi network. That sounded snotty but I was just trying to give info. :)

I think it goes through your account differently, they can tell what data has been used through tethering and which hasn't D:
