All you guys are lucky you got a tracking number! They didn't even bother giving me one, they just said UK Mail will text you the day before

That's just Orange & T-Mobile's stock response. Looks as though you can be certain you're not getting one tomorrow if you haven't had said text yet.

I'm not sure I follow, are you not getting it tomorrow? EDIT: I just reread your post, I see what you mean now.

Also UPS are far from awful, probably the second best courier in the UK after DPD.

What? DPD are widely known to be one of the worst, they are notorious for leaving "sorry you weren't in" cards without even ringing the doorbell or knocking. If you don't believe me check out their reviews online.

My order process with Orange

As a New Customer I ordered around 2pm on Friday.

Received this email:

Got this text at 17:13 today:

Orange website now says this:

and UKMail this:

So will be getting my iPhone 5 tomorrow :D

Congrats! DPD are very good an usually the earlier end of the estimate! UPS vs DPD in the Croydon race then! ;)

I've used DPD for years without any problems and I know that others in this thread say the same. They provide you with a 1 hour delivery slot and in my experience they never miss. I have yet to have either TNT or UKMail actually deliver something to my house - they always say they left a card when they never even turn up.

JUST got my email and text from three :) wooooooooooo!!!! tho the tracking says Awaiting receipt of Parcel :/ but yeh bring tomorrow on :)

If your phone has been dispatched by Royal Mail which a large number have, you will not receive an email or text.

Yep

Same here!

They do. It'll probably leave Hinckley around midnight and arrive at your local depot about 5am. Obviously it doesn't take five hours but they're the scan times usually. It'll then show 'Out for Delivery' from about 7am.

Fingers crossed Garry ;)

Ooh...mine's just been scanned at Runcorn by Andy Jackson, UK Mail. Come on Andy lad :D

For those who ordered at Apple.com and expect delivery by UKMail, what does your tracking at UKMail say? Mine has been stuck on Awaiting Collection!

Oh god. I told myself I wouldn't get obsessed.
Syncreon says it's at Hinckley. UKMail says awaiting collection!
I know I won't be able to, but I'm going to try my best not to keep refreshing the pages, I need to sleep!

On the business post link it says delivery is premier24

On the UKMail site premier24 says this:
Flexible and simple! Premier 24 combines these, and more, in a reliable, signature-inclusive next-day delivery service that comes with a range of timed delivery options, including pre- 9am, pre-10.30am or pre-noon delivery slots. Simply package your item, then ship it through our secure, network for a stress-free solution that meets all your delivery needs.

So hopefully by the morning we may have a time slot available :D

Guys really need your help!

I live in central London. I want to take out a new t-mobile contract tomorrow.

My options are to go to a Carphone Warehouse store or to go to the Regent Street Apple Store. I either want the 32gb or 64gb black model.

What do you think is best? I'd be willing to stand in line from around 4.30am onwards!
