UK iPhone 5 thread

OMFG! I ordered the iPhone 5 on Friday 14th at 8.14. Expected it to be delivered today so I stayed at home all day waiting. Fml, at 18.25 I got this:

So as you can see UK Mail were supposed to be delivering my iPhone but 'apparently' there was a road closed. FFS. Apple say to contact my courier? WTF shall I do? Should I ring UK Mail? It says re delivery on Monday but, no one will be here Monday! Can I leave a note on the door or something to leave somewhere?? Need Help! Pissed off!!! If I left a note would I have to put signature on it or something. Thanks for responses
 
Mine got in a state of continual reboots earlier, after i got home and tried to restore it through itunes. It had already restored via icloud, but was taking forever to download my Photostream, so i got fed up in the end.

Plugged into itunes and it got stuck, horrible green lines around the small circular reboot icon and got stuck rebooting for a few minutes. Eventually came back up.

Call them to see if you can pick it up tomorrow.

An RTA, what a crappy way to halt deliveries.

Not really much point as it's a business address for delivery so they wouldn't try tomorrow anyway. The way orange have handled this is appalling, might just cancel on Monday and then properly look into the best contract for me across the networks, although Orange, or EE, are going to be best for LTE.

Of course you should contact them. They are supposed to be delivering iPhones tomorrow that they did not manage to do today so push for that.
 
I had received my iPhone 5 black 32gb from UKMail, when i opened the box i had saw a scratch on the top lock button, wasn't really pleased seeing as i paid £600 for it!

So i rang Apple and they are more then happy to replace my iPhone! so a courier should be coming in 3-4 days and take my old iPhone in for a brand new one!, really happy with Apple's service!

Three's HSPDA+ already proven to be faster then EE's LTE actually.
 
ANYONES siri not working on iPhone 5? My siri acts as though it cant even hear me! Like the microphone doesnt hear my voice! calls/loudspeaker/voice memos EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS?
 
So I've been told by tmobile nearly 5 times that it was shipped with UKMail last night and that it would be with me today. Guess what? It was never shipped and they are now sending it with royal mail!! What the hell? I ordered at 8:10 on the 14th and have had to keep ringing up tmobile because they seem adverse to even informing me that my order was successful.

I've had 1 email since the 14th. Despite numerous promises of texts '24 hours' before the release and 'the day of release' I have had NOTHING. I'm on hold at the moment. If I don't get a definitive answer this time I am cancelling and going elsewhere.
 
DPD delivered 10mins early, all working well.

At first couldn't find Personal Hotspot, it's in General under Cellular ON>.

Thats a good idea but, the customer service line is open from 7am-7pm weekdays and 8am-12pm on Saturday. hmm, do you know if they can leave in a safe place if I was to put a note on the door with my signature. Or even drop off at the neighbours?

Steinheil just emailed me that their screen protectors have an error in cut so they don't fit properly. They've shipped me a new updated one free of charge! Wait for your email :)
 
Refusing to activate :(

On O2. Transferred my number to a new nano SIM, but the iPhone 5 keeps telling me there's no SIM in the phone. Used the supplied adaptor to try it in my old iPhone 4 and it connects to the network without a problem.

Called O2 but after 10 minutes of listening to that awful automated voice, it cuts me off because there are too many customers on the line. Terrible service.
 
Wheres everyone getting their cases from? Im looking for the Apple type bumper, but cant seem to find one thats of decent quality. Where is everyone else getting their 5 cases?

Casemate, and Joli for slip case but it won't be ready til October.
 
Is anybody else's UPS tracking still saying its out for delivery today? Because mine is!! I seriously doubt its coming but why hasnt it been updated??
