I hit 19mb earlier in at home on three!

Nice, unfortunately my house seems to be right in the middle of two towers so only get 3-4 indoors, when I take the dogs for a walk I get the 11 at either end of the field (5 mins from home)

Edit just tried again and got 9.63

I contacted the Steinheil UK eBay store, and they told me that the screen protector provided to me already had the revised cut outs. It fits ok.

3 customers are lucky.

O2 are only fetching me 5.7Mbps at most. Then again i'm indoors.

Fun fact:

I received a non-apple delivery through UKMAIL today just after 5pm (note - end of shift for the driver) and the driver was shaking his head and complaining that he has 55x iPhone 5's in his van because people haven't been in to sign for the delivery. He said there was more than half that had been undelivered and will go out on Monday again or perhaps over the weekend to clear the backlog.

I have voted my feets away from T-Mobile

Ordered my iPhone 5 Friday morning at 8:20, got confirmation mail minutes after, all looked good.

Friday night, I read that many people have had two different emails, and due to technical problems, many haven't received mail no. 2, so the advise was to check with T-Mobile if all was OK.
No sign of money reserved on card.

Saturday, we were in Manchester, and passed a T-Mobile store, decided to go in and check order status. There was only 2 other customers, 1 signing up for a new contract on an iPhone 4S, which seemed to go rather smoothly, as it would be the store manager (or at least the most senior, that moment in time)
Customer #2 had a defective Samsung phone of some sort, less than a month old. Apparently a lot of problems with this phone, by the sound of it - this customer was served by a young girl, who was very kind, but seemed some inexperienced. Within a minute, this customer was getting right up under the roof, as it turned out, that even they had a curtesy phone, they couldn't let him have it. (!?!?) apparently, said by the senior "we'll, how do want us to do that, when the network is down? Come again tomorrow - we can't help you now, there is other customers as well". Obviously, customer wasn't happy, and I looked around on others in the shop, and we all thought this was a strange behaviour.
My turn, asking about order status with the girl mentioned before. Senior-dude interferes as girl doesn't know what to do. Senior says they don't want to help - I can call on my phone in to Customer Service like any one else, and they don't want to waste that time on the phone in store.
I left the shop - I don't think it was necessary to thank for the help, so only said thank for the attempt...

Sunday afternoon, while I was out Mountainbiking, I needed to check the map, so got the phone out from its water safe, and suddenly it rang from a mobile number. It was a nice lady with Scottish accent, very calm.
It would appear that my credit card wasn't approved.
That was strange, I said, because it even went to secure payment asking for the password, and said it was acknowledged. Anyway, nice lady tells me, that if I would be so kind to contact card issuer to get the block lifted, then she would call me back later around 18, same day.
No call.
Monday, no call either ( and I was damn busy anyway), so Tuesday midday I call in to CS and ask what's going on. Very helpful chap explains situation, and assures me, that even my payment still wasn't accepted, I wasn't moved in the queue, so if I was ready he would check the payment was OK to go through - sure pal, go ahead, I said.
It would appear later, it was the real payment, not just a reservation of the £219. I was then promised, that phone should be out Friday, as I was so early, and hadn't moved down the line, despite the delay.
Wednesday, I receive a text saying "welcome to T-mobile blah blah" and check my online account. It then appears, that the contract was started yesterday, when the payment was taken (I was on PAYG) - anyway, thinking that's ok to start that now, so I save money.
Thursday comes and nearly goes. Some have had text from orange, a few from T-Mobile, that dispatch is near... Many have comments about "we will endeavour to send within 30 days", but I've not really had that said directly to me (yes, it have been written on their web page, but not even talked about it on the phone)
I call in to web direct and asks what's going on. Get to talk to a rather unhelpful girl - and between her lines, it sounded more like "get a life, it's only a phone, you are only making it hard for us. We actually hate customers, they only do troubles for us". Not a nice feeling.

During today, I have been following almost the last 200 pages on here, and seen how much b******s EE's two business have been giving their customers the last couples of days.

At 18:00 I receive a text from T-Mobile, saying "just to let you know, we haven't forgotten about your new phone. We'll be in touch soon to let you know when it's on the way. Thanks for your patience."
What, no more info??

At 19:00 I call in to same web direct and get to talk to another girl, seems more kindly in her attitude, but unable to give any positive response on my questions about expected delivery. Maybe she then just throws out numbers to get me to shut up, but says "listen, we have only had a couple of hundreds phones to sent out today, but since last Friday, we've received more than 45000 orders, but no more phones have arrived". I try to fish for more information, but she refuses to give any indication. She does though, tell me, that I should not expect the phone the first couple of days, as there is not even allocated anything to me yet.
Questioning if I have been put back down the line, due to the delays, she can't say - and can't really be arsed telling me more, so she keeps having long breaks, like she is only waiting for me today thanks and bye, which I then eventually do, but asked to be put through to get my PAC code - and within a second in her attempt to transfer me, i was disconnected.
Bad bad, social up again, getting through to retention.
Apparently, i can't get my PAC code right away, as they have to cancel and transfer money back etc.

Dear T-Mobile,
You have lost a customer with your very bad approach to service.
If I had a million pound, I would bet, that you won't dare to be in "Undercover Boss". Your customer service is so bad, and so incredible rude.
You had a huge potential with rebranding and getting a bad reputation changed for the country's best network. But you have failed miserably.
I've voted with my feets.

I had received my iPhone 5 black 32gb from UKMail, when i opened the box i had saw a scratch on the top lock button, wasn't really pleased seeing as i paid £600 for it!

So i rang Apple and they are more then happy to replace my iPhone! so a courier should be coming in 3-4 days and take my old iPhone in for a brand new one!, really happy with Apple's service!

What number did you call? Did they give you the option of taking it to an apple store?

My black one has a nick. If it were on the back I wouldn't care but as its on the front I can see it in the light. I love the black but am afraid it will just get worse so want to get my damaged one replaced but maybe with white.

Damn it. No one was in receive the UK Mail delivery. Has anyone spoken to them about re-deliveries tomorrow? I hope they are keeping to what's on their website?!

Hello chaps,

My 16GB iPhone 5 was delivered this afternoon and I was rather delighted but unfortunately it is already starting to come apart. I'm going to get in touch with Apple tomorrow and hopefully they'll replace it but I'm obviously a little disappointed. Has anyone else had any problems with the plastic around the screen coming away from the phone? I have never had this kind of problem with any of my previous iPhones (3G, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S). :(

I posted a couple of photos on my blog.

I'll update and let you know what Apple say tomorrow.

Cheers

Mark

I rang the normal 0800 048 0408 number, no they did no mention about going to a Apple store and replacing it so wasn't really bothered.

To be honest this is all of a headache, half the black iPhones have come out defective!

I am so glad that mine came without any scuffs or other problems.

I ordered a 64GB Black one and I ordered through Three. I did not get any kind of dispatch notification from them. I had to call them on the telephone just to find out if it was definitely coming today (which it was) and it arrived pretty late at about 4:30pm.

I'm really happy with it, brilliant product.

I feel your pain brother. I went through pretty much the same situation. I rang up wednesday. A woman pretty much refused to give me any information but told me that I'd receive a text update 24 hours from launch. I didn't.

I rang up yesterday I found out how to eventually get through to them and then a nice lady assured me my order had been shipped my UKMAIL last night and it was ready to be delivered to me today. I would also receive a text message containing the order details within 20 minutes. I didn't.

I rang up today (again) and the woman said that my phone had defiantly been shipped with UK mail and I'd have it by the end of today. They would text me the order reference. They didn't.

After getting home and finding no traces of the package, I rang up again and was put through to a woman that said my package had been SHIPPED (just remember that for a second) by ROYAL MAIL despite the fact they had been reassuring me UKMail had my parcel? So now they not only lied about shipping my order, they lied about the company that were ********** shipping it!

Well I was annoyed but hey, now I had a tracking number at least and I can rest knowing that I'll have it tomorrow :) Oh.. wait.. what's that order status? No information received? I refreshed it for a good half an hour and FINALLY 'Order details received. Waiting for package to be delivered to royal mail' (or something along those lines. So now I know my package hasn't even been SHIPPED yet?!

I decided to ring up and give it one more go before I go to bed. Was on hold for 2 hours before my phone died of battery. That shows you how long I was on for. I picked it up off of the charger when it was on 100% and I was in a call for so long it died.

I'm ringing up tomorrow and complaining. If they can't do all of these:

1) Can't give me a date when my order will be delivered
2) Assure me I will have it by Monday morning
3) Compensate me with a price cut due to the appalling lack of customer service.

I will be cancelling. I really really don't want to because I've been waiting for this phone for ages and it'll mean waiting another month, but I just can't stand them.

Yeah siri and voice dication both cannot hear me at all! No matter what i do!

Even voice control works for me?
This could just be due to the overload on Siri servers today. Earlier this afternoon I couldn't use Siri or voice dictation at all for a few hours.

I would suggest having another go tomorrow as I'm sure it'll work by then.

There's a mark on mine next to the lock button. Annoying thing is, I did it myself on my trackpad! Really annoyed.

Anyone know how long my phone is going to take to activate?

Worthy of note, mine was bought online but my vodafone sim in the 4S didnt fit. So I went to the Mac store and they umm'd and arr'd about giving me a new sim because they had allocated enough for sales that day.

That annoyed me. Im a customer who bought your product, just because I didn't wait in a line doesn't mean I don't deserve the same treatment.

First thing I noticed about the screen wasn't the height of it, but how rich and vibrant the colours seem compared to the 4S. It looks great.

I like the lightness of it to, its noticeably lighter than the 4S and feels just as solid. Phones tend to feel creaky and weak when they're lighter, this isn't like that.

Anyone else order from orange on day of release and not got a phone?

I'm annoyed that they took my money a week ago, AND started my contract a week ago, yet are giving phones out to people who walk into a shop today to give money/start a contract.
How is that in anyway fair? I've lost s week of my contract and a week of interest (ok, I know that's negligible. But that's not the point).

Really bad. Fair enough if they didn't have any more, but they do, they are just choosing to prioritise people who DON'T preorder and hand over money early. Madness.

Not to mention they won't say when I'll get it... "within 30 days" great, so after I've already paid my first month of unusable contract then. Thanks.

My good news seems to have turned bad. Just found the "more info open" link on the UKmail reference they gave me, and it appears to have someone else's name on it - FAO Mark Warner If Orange just gave me some Random bloke's ref to get me off the phone then that is a new low.

I hope Mark enjoys his new phone!

Nice...I ordered the same as you: 64gb black. When did you order yours?

Are you a new customer?

I also ordered on first day and no phone yet (orange new customer). Every phone shop I went past today had stock, how times have changed, before you had to queue for hours to guarantee an iPhone. Now as everyone pre orders you are better off just waiting until launch and walking in store.

I'm an upgrade customer, so seems they aren't discriminating their unfairness against new or old, just not letting those who have already given them money have them so thy can get those who have yet to give them money!!!

Outrageous. If you've seen them in stock in Orange shops. And with no que, you should be able to walk in there any pick one up.
