Hi guys new to the forum, but have been reading almost non-stop the past couple of days. Still waiting on my 32gb iPhone from orange, was just wondering what the download speeds people were getting on the iPhone 5 with orange. Three looks pretty tasty with people posting their download speeds, wondering if I just get a three contract and refuse delivery on the orange one?! Thanks in advance.

got mine at about 2pm from ups, was excited about getting this phone, i was waiting by the door to receive a phone with a nice chip on the bottom left on the polished finished edge!! and a couple of little marks here and there!
i was going to keep it but then i thought no!, why should i pay £600 for a phone and get one with a chip on it?
anyway applecare were apologetic and have ordered me a new one with a est of 3-4 weeks but said the order will be prioritised and this will change to a sooner date.. anyone got a replacement date yet?

Has anyone done a DIY job on the micro SIM to trim it down to nano-SIM size and did it work in the 5?
My 3 sim doesn't work when I am sat on the sofa! But is ok everywhere else. IMO 3s 3g coverage is pretty good, travelled from Lancashire to Plymouth last week and only lost the 3G signal to talksport twice in the 7 hours (coach!)
They shipped mine on Monday but as expected Royal Mail still haven't delivered 4 days later.

Ordered 3 iPhones on launch day - one 16GB Black on it's own through the app and two (64GB black & 64 GB white) through the website. The 16GB was being delivered through UKMail and the other two through UPS.
The UKMail Delivery arrived at 2.30ish - which is my brother's phone.
The 64GBs were loaded on to a van in Dundee at 8:06am (Aberdeen doesn't have it's own UPS depot) and were out for delivery not long after - at 10:35am my status was updated saying delivery had been delayed so I called around 11am and they stated that it would be delivered today as apple had paid for Express Delivery and to keep an eye on the site for the status changing - come 2:30pm it hadn't changed so I gave UPS another call who again promised that it would arrive before 7pm and again to keep an eye on the tracking - at around 5pm there was still no movement so I called UPS again who said the status may not changed but they could see it was en route and I would have it before 7pm.
At 7pm when it had still not been delivered I called again to be told that it would be Monday and the people I spoke to earlier were wrong and it would be Monday before I got my phone - I understandably got quite annoyed as I had waited in all day and been promised delivery right up until the end of the day which never surfaced, and would now have to wait in again on Monday because UPS seem to think that Aberdeen is a remote area (it may not be London but it is the third largest city in Scotland). The lady said she would send an urgent e-mail to the Dundee depot to get them to call, but i May not receive a callback until Monday as it closes at 8.
15 minutes later I get a call from a supervisor/manager in the Dundee depot apologising and saying he will personally investigate as to why it was either not put on or taken off a van as it should have been delivered.
Also said that although UPS don't deliver to my postcode (AB10) normally on a Saturday, providing he could track down the parcel he would get it taken up for Saturday delivery.
Fingers crossed he sticks to his word - as if not Monday will be my third day waiting in for a delivery!

i lived near lancaster gate tube station, ups got it delivered around 10am this morning got them nicely
i also queued up at westfield white city for 2 more, for dad and gf's sis
arrived there at 5am and there were 500 people in front of me
the line was moving as slow as snail, i managed to get everything around 12pm around 7 hrs in total - once in a lifetime experience lol

I tried and failed, ended up having to go to a Vodafone store and getting a Nano sim activated.
At least it was free.
Yep - didn't work.
So now I am relying on Whats App haha. It was foolish of me to just chop away my sim (I know, I know) - but my nano sim from Voda should be arriving tomorrow. If not I am at the trafford centre tomorrow so I will be hopefully picking one up then.
But I wouldn't recommend it. Didn't work for me
I was just too impatient. Like a child at Christmas ha.
Coverage most places is quite good. Theres just no point in having a phone that cant be used in the house lol.
3-4 weeks! Are they letting you keep this one until then or do you have to send it back?

Pretty pants tbh.
O2 was not very good for coverage but 3 is total pap!

Got my Black 32GB this morning. Went for a clear case as I didn't want to cover up the phone. Anyone found any good cases?
Something I noticed is that as the phone is thinner than 4/4S even with a case it still feels great to hold
i got a clear gel case for mine, fit perfectly.. will use it till i scratch my phone then will go bareback when the honeymoon period is over

This is my first iphone although I have a MBP and iPad2 ..
I bought unlocked from Apple -
I am getting a business sim next week from work ... but I have a Three pay as you go sim and I'm just using my old phone until next week.
Can I put the 3 pay as you go in and use it in the interim, just using the wifi on the iphone?
It won't be locked to three? Cos it's unlocked and bought from apple, I'm almost certain I WILL be able to use my vodafone business sim after first using my 3 sim ..
Can someone clarify before I go ahead and stick in the 3 sim in the meantime?
